This is beautifully written. What a lovely thing to have done for her. So much compassion and understanding in the verse.

You are precious. This is a sweet sweet poem. God bless you for this.
I like the picture. I love the last line. I am part Maori where the spiral or koru depicts life and eternity

How beautiful to get the opportunity to sing to one who is passing. This is a wonderful tribute to Rose, who is with family in her last hours. Giddy

That's so beautiful, Sharyn! The poem as well as your story in the notes. Losing a loved one is always hard; knowing you will lose them is worse.

These partings are so hard. You capture that poignant sweetness that you gifted to Rose when last you sang to her. I so admire that you could pull yourself out of your own sorrow and help your loved one on her way.

I love this. Its so beautiful. After I read your notes it became all the more touching. Its so heartfelt. It really does touch me. I'm sorry for your pain. This piece is so well written. It has a superb flow, subtle and strong in places. I noticed the trochaic and iambic as I read ;)

Great poem...

thx Greg - thought you might enjoy the trochee then the one iambic line - the more you do, the easier it gets, trust me on this! :))S

I don't know about That, ;) but you do it with little effort it seems. I Did read each line very carefully the entire time, taking note. I knew what it was before the notes, ha. I was proud to see the "answer". I'm getting it! I just wrote a cinquain. Ill have to post it tonight.
reply by GregoryCody on 09-Jun-2013
It didn't need iambic feet necessarily but I did it anyway as a challenge.
