Hi Sharyn,
now this is dedication to the finest in serving love that one can have.
My mouth started watering at the mention of chocolate, now through the scent of flowers into the ring and I'm wondering what a man has to do to get this kind of attention?
I love your cheeky ways and I hope your valentine reciprocates with the same exuberance.
Good luck with this delicious contest.
Kindest mouth watering thoughts.

Thank you so much, James, for your lovely response AND for your just-as-mouth-watering SIX! (see how easy I am to please?)
Blessings and again, I'm delighted that you enjoy my "cheeky ways" - life's far too short to take seriously!

A beautiful and romantic poem. Lovely to gather all of the ingredients and truly cook from scratch. So much more romantic than buying a box of chocolate.Good luck in the contest!!! Debbie

Okay, you win again - lol. Quite the poem, Sharyn - all for a bit of chocolate and some suga', huh? I, for one would rather just go to Laura Secord and buy them, but okay, I'll accept the special ones. (What can I say?)
Very beautiful and tied up with a pretty bow "just for me".

LOL I believe you are most definitely right about where Tarzan lives. It is a sweet poem, although I will not be receiving chocolate on Valentines day, well unless I buy them for my self!!

This is rich like chocolate "scarlet feathered flowers set a-flame at sunset to lick the sky into pink and glowing submission" and beautiful to behold. Thank you; it is lovely art indeed, that you share with us here.

I think this is a wonderful poem and so well done. You're right that the words just sort of glide on the tongue like velvet and linger sweetly. I also like how it's turned around on us at the end - no longer for the narrator's sweetheart, but for the narrator himself. It's a happy Valentine's Day indeed, when both parties win.
You paint stunning pictures and harness such control over your words. It's all to great effect. Very lovely.
