This is a very strong, effective, well-versed poem. Starting with all the problems of the world and deciding to build a wall to keep all that out. And then the better solution - a wall of flowers. Excellent use of metaphors in this very well written poem.

Wow! Your poem speaks too true about the doom and disaster we don't wnat to think about. Especially when our walls are built yet and the zombies at are the door! Yikes! Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

You slam and rant so magnificently well and with an honest, in your face, no punches pulled attitude...I always figure it is about time for a revolution, but I like the butterflies and bees and flowers. Thank you so much - I salute you on this - Dinah

I am not American, I'm English, but your words could easily be of our so called government! The terrible thing is, we have no other party that is any better!! I loved reading this, and you are so right, it is better read rap style. This a really well written poem, and an absolute must to read! xsx

Love this poem, visionary. You have put a lot of thought into this one and it rings true, the message of blame and responsibility and how people need to own their actions. Well written piece.

A rant and a half, political, at that! I couldn't perform slam poetry, but the words were powerful and full of disdain. I like the symbolic blue chair - representing the political party's seat in the election. I have to say I was glad to reach the turn in your final stanza, with flowers, butterflies and bees :-). Good luck in the competition. TM

What an interesting piece. I like the format with which you constructed your poem. It helped bring strength to the areas you wanted to emphasize and focus on. Indeed, it is wise to turn to nature and enjoy its special blessings!

Loved way this read and the author notes helped a bit in setting the mood. The internal rhymes ruled and the rhythm rapped out well. Great job.
