Great Job, very well done. I like the lighthearted down to earth approach at summarizing some of the old testament. Rhyme and structure was fluid and consistent. This was a joy to read. Thank you for sharing it.

Thank you for your kind words - I learnt a lot, and then had to leave most of it out!

Boy,can you wrap the word into poetry. Couldn't you pick a subject?LOL Very good summary of O.T. You did great, this would be a great poem for Sunday school, kids could memorize it,and learn at the same time. Excellent structure, flow rhyme, and the contents, absolute. Well done.

Thank you for your kind words - I learnt a lot, and then had to leave most of it out! Yes, a number of people have suggested the Sunday School connection and one lady has already requested permission to use it in her class...

Still a story nonetheless. How we attach meaning to these stories is definitely up to us. The metaphors abound to teach us a clarified view of life. Too bad the lessons are not learned...John

This is so unique and clever. Very creative and original. You have written the Old Testament in such a way as to be easily understood by anyone. Your rhyming scheme is very good with good rhythm.

I gave you six stars because of
the most interesting and creative
way you treated this subject, written
in a light-hearted fashion yet underlying
each word was what has been written for
eons of time.
A clever recitation of the old testament.
Well done

I wish I had a six to give you. This was so well written, it was brilliant. This would be great to read to children, just to give them a taste of the Old Testament. I really enjoyed reading it. Very clever!

Thank you for your kind words, dj - I learnt a lot, and then had to leave most of it out! I've already had a couple of requests for permission to use it in Sunday School - not quite how I envisaged my fame spreading!

Gotta take it where you can get it!

wow..great job..the ending the way you put it is just amazing..the bible truly is the greatest story to be told...but you sure did an excellent job shortening 39 books of the old testament into 1 poem...great job and keep writing

Readers Digest has nothing on you! Great little piece with a nice rhythm and tempo throughout. Your ditty to faith is fun and enlightening.

I wish I had a six left - I think most regular churchgoers, like me, and their pastors, would get a huge kick out of this, my friend, with no offense taken at all. This is a wonderful poetic summation of the Old Testament, with excellent cadence, rhyme and humor. You should film yourself reading this one aloud and put it on you tube - I think it would be a hit :-) Brooke

Thanks - seems to be my fate lately to be last in the queue when all the sixes have been given out.:o(
I have had a few people ask if they can use this in Sunday School classes, but YouTube is a different idea - not sure if I could handle the fame and adulation ;o)

My advice about sixes is that you post any poem you think is six-worthy on Sunday morning when everyone has a fresh supply :-)
