Okay Debi... this is how it is. I've only ever seen snow from a distance. Never been in it, frolicked within the powder. Had a tad of experience with ice though, but mainly on an early morning windscreen... hmmm or is that windshield in your language? No matter, Whilst I do love the seasons, it's mainly because there is not much variation all year around where I live.

All my experience has been through watching TV... and it blows my mind to think you guys have to wear so many layers just to go outside at certain times of the year. Hell, my body's stiff enough as it is without the extra smack of what you have described in this tale of shivery... (but of cold, not excitement.)

Minnesota, third coldest state in the US... I'd be heading south for sure... no doubt!

Sooo... I guess there may have been a real time discussion going on in your mind as to which four letter words to use to describe your aversion to the snow, ice and cold.

Sending you a hot water bottle to snuggle up to. Wow, that showed my age!

Love your witty, fun rhyming poem Debi... the last line lingers... and maybe I cringed a little... it's a male thing!:>)

With our thoughts we create...
the warmth of our heart.

Kindest regards,
James.

Thanks James for the awesome review. I was just having a little fun with everyone, as I really don't hate everything in Winter so bad. I was just in the mood to be a bit goofy. So thanks for having a laugh with me.

I had been down about some stuff going on and after a good talk with Helen and her prayer for some, I just felt so much better. I know it wasn't my normal self, but I needed to let that side out of me a little. Anyway, I hope my silliness didn't offend too many of the male population. Haha.

As always James, I am so happy to see you and hear about you and Jade. Please don't be a stranger. You are one of my favorite people here.
Happy Holidays, my very dear friend.
    Lotsa Love, Debi

We've had flurries for three days, and no accumulation other than a bit of frost on the car windows, and frigid cold. This is a fun poem with good rhymes. Have a blessed weekend. Carol

Hi Carol and thanks for the awesome review. I was just having a little fun with everyone, as I really don't hate everything in Winter so bad. Actually if I don't have an appointment I stay in the house. I was just in the mood to be a bit goofy. So thanks for having a laugh with me. Love, Debi -

I enjoyed the fun! We've only had flurries so far, with a little snow stuck to the tops of the cars. The winds have been a bit crazy blustery. Reminds me of MN! (We lived in St. Paul when first married; Mitch was in seminary there.)

Why not have a bit of fun. You deserve it. Nice put together and I did get a laugh with your last line. Thanks for sharing. I am sure that no matter what you turn your hand to, you will succeed. Take care and have a wonderful day.

Well, considering your rant, albeit a fictional one, I think you've been remarkably restrained with your 4 letter words:)) Mind you, you've got a great final punch/kick-line! I'm with you 100% here because, I've only got to look at ice to fall over. Lovely rhymes in your fun and amusing verse with a warning to bear in mind. Thanks for sharing, Debi. Love Debbie

I am sorry that you live in such a climate that it gets that cold. I went out this afternoon for a walk. I walked over 2 miles and it was rather cool out. I think the temperature while I was out walking was 76°. I had a short sleeve shirt on and no jacket and I was wearing a baseball cap. I hope this doesn't make you feel bad. Have a nice evening and a very good day. May you also have a very merry Christmas?

Aw, yes, winter's cold is bold!

I beg to differ, if I may,
New York is worse,
much worse, I say!

Niagara's spray will freeze you good ...
Until spring,
Your butt,
your house,
your neighborhood.

Love you rant about cold, my friend! Give Minnesota a fit! Now, go and get some hot cocoa and snuggle by the fire with Glenn.

Six (virtual) frozen fish sticks, excuse me, I mean, french fries, Oops, I meant ******6 stars!! I'm kinda hungry....
Love ya big as Minnesota!

Thanks Sweetie, I know you were having some fun with me, but right now New York and all the north eastern states have us beat for snow, which is very unusual. But normally New York doesn't even fit in the top ten coldest states. Actually Alaska is first, ND and then MN. But it is not unusual for us to get minus 70 degrees F windchills and tremendous amounts of snow.
The older I get the more it bothers me to be where it is so cold. I want to go somewhere warmer. I know lots of people in Arizona and if I could just get around better by myself and now with my eyes so bad, I doubt that will happen. Anyway, thanks for the fun review. I loved your little poem too.
Thanks again, sweet friend. Love, Debi

Well, it was long ago now 1977 was the Blizzard of '77 and it was epic. Those eight years in Niagara were pretty awful we had folks in our church that were killed in the blizzard. It's not for the faint of heart in any of those states. You're tougher than me, my friend. Xoxoxo

Right and I am only talking as a rule. Most northern states will have their bad times. None are fun, but as a rule, some average to be colder than others. We have some like our Halloween blizzard of 91 where we almost didn't get home from trick or treating. My story was almost completely true. LOL.
Loved your fun poem and your review. You are the greatest. Love ya, Debi

Hahahahaha! Such a clever and creative writer you are! I could certainly relate to the negatives about winter and snow and ice, after spending many winters in the Northern California mountains, but like you, I don't hate winter. How could we? It is so beautiful when everything is covered in new-fallen snow. Thanks for the fun poem. I loved it. MM

Oh Adonna,, I can't thank you enough for the awesome review, comments and your six stars. They all mean the world to me, but mostly just seeing you again.
Even though I was just having a little fun with everyone, as I really don't hate everything in Winter so badly. I was just in the mood to be a bit goofy. So thanks for having a laugh with me. Love, Debi

I despise the Winter for all the four letter words you have mentioned in this poem--the frigid cold and heaped up snow. And my biggest fear is falling on slippery sidewalks. Your poem made me smile. Rod

Thanks Rod, for the awesome review. I was just having a little fun with everyone, as I really don't hate everything in Winter so badly. Except the cold, snow, ice and you know. But not as bad as I made it sound. I was just in the mood to be a bit goofy. So thanks for having a laugh with me.
