I only heard tonight. And I felt so bad that I stayed up all night to write. I only know how difficult it is from watching some dear friends go through it already. I can't imagine living it. My husband and I always say that we know that one of us will be looking at an empty chair someday and that scares me, so my heart goes out to her. I'm sorry for your loss too Sandra. How long has it been for you? Thanks for reading!

My husband died nearly 40 years ago. It was hard also having a two young boys to raise. I remarried later when they were grown up, with my sons permission, Graham was a mechanic until he retired, and the boys decided he'd be good for when they had problems with their cars. They always treat him like a mate, which was nice.
