This piece made me laugh. I haven't got a cat but have had a few in my time and can sympathies. I thought this piece was well written. Thank you for sharing and take care.

Thank you. Cats are unique critters with a mind set different from other animals. Hugs.

Don't tell that to my cats! They already think they're pretty special. I know all about the noise at 5:00 AM because all they have left is crunchy bites and they want the good food. They think nothing of headbutting me awake for chin scratches. So this is really more than they need to know. LOL Thanks for the laugh.

Thank you. Cats already know they are sacred animals. In Egypt they were revered and considered sacred. My cats know this. Lol Hugs.

I'm laughing so hard right now! My beloved Annabelle and Toula have gone over the rainbow bridge at the ripe ages of fourteen and fifteen. Every single day my husband and I considered ourselves blessed that they saw fit to accept us as their "humans" and were gracious enough to allow us to live in "their" house! Their wishes were truly our commands! I guess you have to be a cat person to really understand this...but man, I wouldn't have traded ONE MINUTE of our time with them!
If I HAD six stars left you'd be getting them...

Thank you. It makes me happy to know there are others who love the little dictaters as much at I do. Hugs.

I love this post, even though I'm a dog person, I can appreciate the humor. I am allergic to long haired cats, they're pretty but I can't be around them.
This is well written, well crafted and formatted.
A very creative ode to cats!
Out if curiosity, how many cats do you have?
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I have six of the little dictaters. We had a dairy farm and people thought it a good place to dump cats and dogs. I used to get the cats fixed and find homes for them. I still ended up with six after we quit farming and my husband passed away. Hugs

Usually I avoid all religious writing and use the use of "God" in the text as a sign. So glad I didn't follow my own rule on this one! I really had a good chuckle with every stanza and the final stanza is LOL! Thanks for sharing this fun poem!

Thank you. I didn't mean it to be offensive, just funny. I'm glad you enjoyed the silly thing. Hugs.

Lol. I guess you have a cat or two or three...Wish you were here when we had our little cat column. Cats do rule every house that they live in but they are all varied in their personalities. Thanks for the smiles.

Thank you. I have six of the furry dictators and each one is different. The one thing they agree on is the fact that they are sacred. Hugs.

This is so amusing. Of course, the Cat would have his own special creation regimen, he/she is the lord of the humans. We have no cats to serve right now, but I sure do miss them.

Thank you and thanks for the six stars. The cats will appreciate them. They are unique animals. Hugs

This is the true creation story! My cat would utterly agree. You show acute observation of cat behaviour and their ability to train their 'servants'.
The bit about the cat 'might or might not be amused' is funny. My cat went nuts about the feather thingie on a string yesterday, but today - nada. And my previous cat's veterinary bills definitely kept me broke.
Excuse me, I have to go now - Lily wants another snack.

Thank you and thanks for the six stars. I'm glad Lily gave you a few minutes to review my story. Cats are furry dictators but we love them. Hugs to you and Lily.

Thanks for the review nomination vote. Lily read about it over my shoulder, and is demanding even more special treatment.

I really like this. In my mind's eye I can see a large ginger and white "Tom" cat walking purposefully through the hallowed halls of God's heavenly abode to the door of the Lord's bedroom. He's a smart cat, so the shut door holds no problems for him. He climbs up onto the bed where God is having a very sound sleep and pats imperiously on one of the beautiful hands resting on the coverlet. A sleepy eye opens and gazes fondly at the cat as he purrs and smooges on the hand that now caresses his soft fur.
"What do you want, little one?" The cat bowed his head and said "Food". God chuckled, causing sunbeams to dance around the room. "Food? Don't you know today's the Sabbath? This is my day of rest."
"But Father, I'm hungry." God looked at the ginger and white cat He'd created just a few days ago and climbed out of bed. "Come on then pussycat, let's get you some breakfast."
And off they went. God had a bowl of muesli
and freshly made coffee and the cat had a feed of fresh steamed whiting. When God went back to bed the cat went with Him.
cheers Cass

Hey, you should write a story about God's cat. You have a pretty good start already. Glad you enjoyed the silly story. I live with 6 cats and I know this is what they believe, they told me.

Too true to be duly reviewed.
How did human kind allow this to happen?
If all cats were feral, and someone figured how to domesticate them; but this is as close as they got... Well, I just don't see a lot of people signin' up to take one.
Best wishes.

Hey, I love the furry little dictators. They are amusing, loving, and I would be lost without them. I love dogs too but only have one of those. Thanks for reading and commenting.
