This is a great story. I like the way you put so many fun facts into it. I hope your grandson reacts well to it. I have a cousin with dyslexia and he says it's really tough to concentrate on anything written. Thanks for sharing this and have a great day

Thank you so much for reading about the lemur, Oliver. I haven't told Eric yet, he's going to have a bit of a surprise when I go to his school to read to his class, then I'll give it to him, and a copy to his head teacher. He won't be able to read them yet, like his Epic Adventure, series I've written, but he is doing so well at this new special needs school I'm sure he'll master most of it one day. Thank you for all your encouraging reviews, my friend, they are always appreciated. :)) Sandra xx

I never knew there were so many different kinds of lemurs. Each one so distinctive. The Aye-Aye is particularly interesting because of the myth behind him. I can see he's a little bit frightening to see.

There was one picture of the Aye-Aye lemur, that really was scary, I forgot to down load it, and now I can't find it. I'm sure Eric and kids his age would have been impressed, so I'll continue looking. Thank you, my friend, for your lovely review. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

LOL!! I had to laugh at the 'stink fights'... sounds so much like boys (men!) and their farting and belching contests - LOL!! ;) :) and just the fact that they can rival the Howler says a lot about their volume! ;) So sad about the decline... do they not adapt well to change around them or has their environment truly been eliminated..? Anyway, great letter 'L', my lady -- this is a great choice instead of the 'obvious' ones (lion, llama) and is a great one because of the movie Madagascar (and Madagascar 2) to be an 'info tie in' for the youth! ;) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

LOL, Yvette, I remember my two boys having contests like that when they were kids, I wonder if they still do it! I will add a piece to the end about the decline. It's the same as Brazil and other countries with a rain forest, they are being cut down in Madagascar as well. It's so wrong. What with that and killing them off. I suppose we have to be grateful for the wildlife parks and zoos. Yes, those films will tie in nicely with my letter L, :)) and the children might learn a bit more. Thank you, my friend, for your lovely review. Big hugs, and take care. xxx Sandra xx

A wonderful 'L' animal, Sandra. I will confess that I knew absolutely nothing about lemurs but because of your presentation have learned a great deal. Oh and a special thank you to Graham for his drawing. They are definitely interesting critters and their antics are delightful. You did a great job. Be safe, be well. Smiles, hugs and blessings. Alie.

Your confession is safe with me, Alie, I didn't know anything either! lol. I am really disturbed at how many of our animals are declining, and how fast. Thank you for another of your lovely review, my friend. I really appreciate your support. Big hugs. :)) Sandra xx

Sandra,

I enjoyed your poem very much and I also appreciated the information on the different varieties of lemur in the world - I only saw one place where I thought you might need a correction and one place that left me curious.

The lemur(')s main tongue hides a small one behind it. This

I am horrified to hear about the dwindling numbers and am curious to learn what is causing this. Is it man? Other predators? WHAT???

Thanks so much!

It's man hunting them, Robyn, and the fact they are losing their natural habitat. Madagascar's Rain Forest is being destroyed as well. It's terrible. The more I'm learning about all God's creatures heading for extinction, the more angry I'm getting. It's not right. I'll add that to this letter as well.

Thanks for finding that missing apostrophe, I wondered where he'd gone!! LOL. Thank you so much, my friend, for reading about the lemurs, they are so interesting. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

Thank you for compiling so many facts about these fabulous creatures, the disturbing fact that they're decreasing in the wil at an alarming rate, is proof that the ecology of the earth is on a downward spiral, although the virus has slowed it down a little. Well done, you are a wonderful grandma. Beautifully written dear girl, blessings, Roy

Thank you, Roy! Your support is so nice. Thank you for your lovely review, my dear friend. It is disturbing how fast the decline in these lovely animals is happening, and I do hope it stops. Sending you a hug, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I SO LOVE THESE! Each entry into the book is amazing. :) Are you going to publish these? I think I asked that already ... getting old ... lol
Couple of things:
In the first line of the poem, They Live >> They live
The male ring-tailed lemurs have 'stink fights' when two males go after >> You've already told us it's males. Might just shorten the sentence to read, 'When two males are after the same female," or 'When two males are courting the same female It just makes it more concise.

put nasty smells, from their >> put nasty smells from their
the rest of the group consider >> the rest of the group considers
My grandson's feet might be related to a male lemur ...

and stay high up in the trees keeping away from >> and stay high up in the trees, keeping away from >> or high up int he trees to keep away from
Their name locally is, Babakoto, or Ambalana. >> Their name locally is Babakoto, or Ambalana.

As interesting as aalways! Love this collection of fact and poems. And here's to zoos, who get a bad rap, but keep entire species from dying off.

THanks again for a lovely afternoon read. :)
Blessings,
Deb

Your poor grandson! LOL!! You hadn't better show him this, lol. Thank you so much for reading about the lemurs, and the lovely review, Debora. And a big hug for showing me those terrible errors. I've made corrections. Have a lovely week my friend. :)) Sandra xx

This is another great one. It is missing some commas, though, such as one after the word 'stroked.' Other than the missing commas, this is great. I hope you do all the letters.

I thought this was a really fun piece to read and your writing made the descriptions and facts come to life, particularly your poem at the beginning. I really enjoyed reading it.

Thanks for all the fun information about lemurs! The pictures make me want to have one. Lol. But if making themselves smelly is a way of communication, I think they may not be good pets. Interesting that they have two tongues.

I tried https://youtube/GHwGGuCB8MA but it doesn't seem to be a full address. It couldn't be found.
Suggestions:
The Ring-Tailed Lemurs' (Lemur's) since you're speaking of it as singular.
"Simons and Meyers (2001) who said he believed " (since there are two author names, maybe "they" not "he" ?)

I'm not that good with links, I'll try again because you would really have a big smile on your face if you listen to them. I see everyone else put links for films etc, and you just click on them on FS and there they are, I tried and failed! :(

Thank you for pointing out those nits, Helen, I've made the corrections, and a big thank you for reading and reviewing this letter. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
