As I was reading the account of your relationship with your dear Mom> I thought about the poor people who's mother is just a scant few years older than the children. What traditions can she share with them that they will treasure and remember? Their favorite songs and dances are likely going to be the same. Whatever traditions they share will doubtless come from Grandma. Times are sadly not what they used to be.

Upon re-reading my comments, I realize that too young parents is not the problem. The problem as I now see it, is parents refusing to grow up and wanting to be on the same level as their children.

Sweet and tender. Delightful imagery, tone and tenor. I like your use of spacing to sculpt cadence and 'commentary' - almost like a parenthetical effect. Touching work! Good smattering of alliteration, especially R in the first line and C and M plus consonance of L in these lines:

Rows upon rows of cobalt blue delphinium
Love the A, H, G and B here too:
Assuredly among welcoming hallmarks of home
Freshly baked blueberry cobbler oozing rich goodness
