Hehehe! I've heard of hoarders in my time, but none compare to the hoarder in your poem! Oh my!

I enjoyed this poem...the story and the rhymes. I think it will do well in the contest.

Best wishes!

The rhyme scheme here worked up a jingle jangle kind of rhythm and echoe effect and I think it underscored the upbeat, humorous tone of the poem. All the little details of the hot wheels cars, the old t shirts, the jelly jars, the beer cans, the comic books, your mother's afghans...that made the poem for me, made the theme come alive and we feel a connection to you, and the theme comes alive for us too. estory

LMAO I am always condemning hoarders, author.

I just do not understand why they have to save every little thing from newspapers to tie clasps. It certainly made good fodder for this poetry though. It is so funny.

Bless you, Bob

A very well-written poem about the things we gather over the years, especially when we stay in one house for more than five years. Ithe accumulates until it is just too much.

This is great and I think it will do well in the contest! I've watched a couple Hoarder shows and realized how sincerely hard it is for some people to let go of things. You represented their...and your plot...with humor. The rhyming is great.
I did have to read the last two lines twice as I didn't catch the rhyme at first. Or better still, The Bulldozer will?...Not sure if that matters, but just in case. The lines are different lengths so you don't quite get that banging finish? Please don't hate me. I like this poem a lot!

Good luck! This is cute and creative!!

Tina

I think we all can identify with the fact that fifty single socks would become extremely valuable, if not essential, should we lose a leg while on a safari. - Lobber

Doesn't everyone have a spouse that collects, clutters and hordes? That's what love is all about. The trick is, you ask you're spouse if you're going throw something out because you don't have any place to sit. Hopefully, he or she will feel sorry for you and let it go. Just a thought. Good luck in the contest.

This is an excellent, humorous poem about hoarding. Thanks for sharing this in the contest and best of luck. Good luck with the bulldozer also.
