Hello old buddy, how the heck are you? I haven't talked to you for a long time. I just thought I'd drop in on Fanstory for awhile since it looks like I'm going to be trapped in the house for a few days due to a lot of rain we're getting off the hurricane.
How's the family doing? Is your Mom doing alright? I've missed talking to you...
I really enjoyed reading your poem. You sure are right about true love never going away. The person we love might leave this world, but their love remains with us until we join them in Paradise. Although, I haven't lost my one and only real true love yet, thank God, we're in our 51st year.
Can you imagine all the loving memories and thoughts that must constantly race through your Mom's mind about Pop-Pop. All those years together and the thousands of memories they made, that's truly a gift from God.
Take care of yourself old friend and I'll talk to you whenever I can...Bill

Hello.
I liked this poem for its simple and true sentiment. I do wonder about the second line...it set me up for more water metaphors...Perhaps a different line that ties the movie them in would give it more coherance.

That's an interesting analogy Linda. I guess a love, can be like a private movie, all one's own, replayed at will, during reflective periods - but your poem puts it much better.

Hi Linda - this is a lovely short poem about love. What you say is so true, and you express it so cleverly backed up by the picture. 'memories become a movie' - good use of metaphor. I love the sentiment in this piece. Warm regards Dorothy xx

I do agree, but I hope my love never turns into a memory. I wouldn't like to survive my husband as I can't imagine life without him.
Thanks so much for sharing.

You are so right dear Linda, true love stays for a lifetime. I love your
compelling phrase, 'only to be replayed at a one seated cinema" so
profoundly summarized. Excellent photo matching your theme and ending.
Thanks for sharing dear...and certainly a relatable one worth noting.
Love, blessings always, have a beautiful week dear.

So true. A movie you never get tired of watching. A Grammy performance of two starring roles. Beautifully stated. And the picture couldn't be more perfect to complete this lovely thought.

ery nicely said, Linda. We do never, ever, ever forget true love - that love that captivates us and sways our minds for the rest of our lives. True love takes on many forms - I mean, we have our spouses, our children, our parents, our friends. Those are the many memories that we always keep. Often, as you say, it is a one seat cinema - for us to recollect, remember, and continue to live.
Beautifully express and said, Sweetheart
