Quite a feat to write an acrostic, using all 26 letters of the alphabet! An absolute triumph to do so in the form of a connected autobiography in the way you have done, maintaining a coherent flow of thought that spills naturally from line to line. I imagine it took you quite some time to craft this so that it would come across so naturally and without contortion of words or artifice. If I had not already been so spendthrift with my meagre supply of sixes, this would most surely have merited one! I doubt that anyone else will rise to the challenge with such assurance!

One of the best abecdarian poems I've ever read. Doesn't sound forced. Has a beautiful story to tell that's beautiful as well as a bit sad; and on top of that there's a few rhymes in it which I missed at first. Superb! Les

Old age and illness can tether a free spirit to a body in danger of quitting.The mind may be willing but the body sets its limits.We remember the days when we could estimate the rest of our life in decades.That number goes down fast.We learn to share our life with illness and old age. Death does not be come for scary. Life becomes more precocious. Good work.
