This is a beautiful picture and of course we can't have the rainbow without the rain. Beautiful poem as well. God loves you and I do too.

I love the message. You love the rainbow but hated the rain. We have to endure to enjoy the other. I loved the poem and thought it served well as a message to readers. It's sort of like the old, " Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die." Great job. Oh...loved the image.

Love the symbolic title. Line two should be "are" to go with the plural "hearts." People don't realize what a burden wealth and greed brings. Lord of Light now can be read two ways. Nice layout. Good luck in the contest.

Great poem. To me, other then it's message, I felt that with the smoothness and soft glow line by line , it could be read as prayer. Has anyone else felt that? Nice rhyme pattern which did not take away from the read.
Good work, John

This was like a beautiful prayer for those who are experience more than their fair share of life's strife. Still, I seriously doubt that praying for absolute absence of strain is actually something that should be expected of Him. As Mother Theresa once said, "I know He doesn't give me more than I can handle, but I wish He didn't trust me so much."
I liked this, though. :)

Comment from Frank Atwood
Very nice poem and I like the way it's worded. Yet those who show love or pain, without true forgiveness within themselves, towards all that afflicts them or those who've trespassed against them, in their life, are as lost as those who feel nothing at all. Think about it. God bless

You are so very right. One hopes that those who read will do as you do Frank and always realize there is so much more to be explored. That all can not be written in one short poem. Have a great day, Carolyn
