this is a cute poem that works in this form that you have tried out. I could imagine the two pups together. that must really be something.

Patty, I'm not great with rhyme schemes so I only commented on content. I enjoyed this, thanks.
Oh the joy puppies bring
with their little faces
puppy barks, nips and fun
running puppy races
They're always full of life. I don't miss picking up the constsant "gold nuggets" before they're toilet trained.
On my hands are traces
little teeth leave their mark
I try to scold Harley
My mini Schnauzer is now 3 yet he still enjoys nibbling on my hand as a sign of greeting in the mornings.

Pets bring out words of joy and love.
Your poem is well constructed, an ode to a wonderful part of your life.
I love the name, the picture, and the joy he brings to your life.
Well done.

I love the poem and the adorable picture. The pup's name, Harley, is perfect.
This is a very difficult form of poetry, and I certainly admire your finished work.
Good luck in the contest.

This is wonderful Patty. I was wondering when the next edition of "Harley" would come out...enjoyed the ones your wrote about bringing him home, etc. This is an interesting form too, and it flows very well for your voice. I think you've found something new to do that really fits-but your redouble was excellent too. Hmmm, maybe you are just a ver good and inspired writer. Smiles.
Blessings,
Roberta
