A beautiful message of Christmas. The one thing it reminds me of is the singing of carols which, believe it or not, I love. Right from being a small child I have enjoyed the gathering of family members and singing carols and celebrating the birth of our Lord..
A well written poem.
Best wishes,
Malcolm

Thank you for sharing your poem. Even with the three syllable form of realize I still struggled with the metering of that line. This being said, I really loved the poem and the messaging. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Another effective triolet that sounds lovely and underscores the true meaning of the holiday season ... Peace on Earth. I enjoyed the opportunity to join your narrator in sending wishes heavenward that this may be realized.
Good poem.

To adewpearl,
You have descibed the works of the caroler's to a tee. For they resound the calling of our Master and "Great Tiding" of joy and His "Peace" that He brings to us all at Christmas time and always.

Hi Brooke, I know I sound repetitious with you, but that was again so beautiful my friend... You must go around all day long and rhyme and reason. You truly have a God given talent and your beautiful heart shows through your work. Love Lin

Xmas poem already, eh? Couldn't wait? You put
up the lights and stockings and set out the
chocolate Jesus' bars for the kiddies?
1 in 8 Americans are on food stamps...
Perhaps if they made it Xmas 368 days out of
the year, it would solve the issue or crisis or
plague of evil money people...somehow, I just
think it would make more people shop for guns
they can't afford to shoot people they don't like.

I was hoping a poem about the meaning of Peace on Earth would have a bit more meaning than a poem about stockings and chocolate bars. Today is the first day of Advent, a day that has meaning for me as the beginning of that part of the year we look forward in expectation of all that the birth of Jesus means. I am sorry if this translated in your mind to a celebration of crass commercialism. Brooke

I like the inspirational feel of this--it's reality-based in the realization that we need help, yet hopeful it will come. I do hope it hurries. :)

If only man would listen to those words. Each year as we draw near Xmas, I pray for peace on earth and goodwill to all. Sadly on he seems to be listening. His follows don't.

You are the queen of the triolet.
This is wonderful, this tribute to the birth of our Savior and the special music we sing to remember how blessed we are.
Excellent.
