Oh, no, no, no! I was certain I could count on him this year because my list is long. Hopefully he'll make an exception for me. The weather here in Florida is good, so I'm holding on.
I so enjoyed your fun poem and I think you have a winner here. It me smile and laugh, and lightened my mood. Mission accomplished! ;))
Sending my best today as always, mystery, poet, and my very best wishes for the upcoming vote.

Sally. thank you very much for such a kind review and comments.
However, I just realized that the ending that I thought had saved was different than the one you read.
. Just thought you might want to see what really happened. LOL. Thanks again, my dear friend.

Whoops! It sounds like the union is about to call in to Santa's Workshop and create some industrial action. :) Thoroughly enjoyed this - thanks for the share!

This poem, Santa's Not Coming This Year, has a lot of real-world drama involved putting Mr. Kringle on the Naughty list. Looks like iyt will all work out before the third quarter.

This is rather humorous and was a joy to read. My favorite lines were:The only thing kids know of elves
Is how to put them on the shelves
That said, after reading how hot is in beneath the equator does Santa do delivery for those folks next summer?

Huh! The ending I read originally must have been different, for I see the fat old red-donned dude does indeed make two trips annually.

This is a well written piece of rhyming humour poetry for the Christmas contest. I love some of the descriptions of Santa's head being bigger than his belly. Very funny. Good luck.

I love this poem. It is funny and well-rhymed and easy to read. It makes the jolly old fat man very human. The elves and raindeer complaint sound very human as well.

Excellent! Your sense of humor shows us just what Santa's life would be like in the real world. No wonder we want to believe in reindeers and elves. Let's show them some respect. Wish I had a six for your poem.

'Tis the season for Christmas verse
when poems are offered, for better or worse.
This one features a Santa who has many faults,
No wonder he prefers to stay in the vaults.
Your words paint a picture of a retiring old gent,
but your effort was really time well spent.
I got several chuckles from reading this ode to a reluctant Santa
Good luck in the contest.

Okay, whomever you are this is an hysterical poem about dear old Santa...
Loved your very last line... Christmas in July... That would be interesting,

Ha Ha. I really enjoyed this humorous Christmas poem. Rhyming good and the story spot on. Glad they got it together. Well sort of. Image great and I would not be surprised if it won the day.
