This is simply beautiful, in imagery, musicality and creative rhyming. I enjoyed it immensely. Now I want to know if you enjoyed the novel. Would you recommend it to someone who enjoys well written books? I need something good to read. BTW, loved the picture you chose. MM

Thanks, Adonna. I would definitely recommend the book. Ben is a Maine author and has written a number of good books.

You did a great job with your poem, Paul. I enjoyed reading
it. Your words were well chosen, the rhymes worked well in
each verse, and the picture was a great addition. Spring? Then
summer with 110* can't wait. Come Fall.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thanks, Jan. 110* is a little too hot for me.

This is a lovely poem, Paul. I like the rhyme pattern. The three rhymed stanzas flow naturally and lull the reader into a peaceful mood, just waiting for spring. It's actually your perfect rhythm that sets the mood though.
I see that you live in Maine. You are going to be waiting a while for spring now. But, it's nice to think about its arrival.
This is a well crafted poem. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, Debbie. You are right. Spring is a ways off for us.

This is very nicely done Paul. This line seemed so very well thought out:
You'll see through frosted panes of glass
The fields of snow turn into grass
You, Sir, are a very talented poet. Thank you for sharing your work!

Thanks, Doug. No more frosted panes of glass, now that we have the double paned windows.

This had a very Thoreau feel to it. It felt nostalgic. From the woolen clothes and seated by the hearth to the frosted panes ogmf glass. It had a romantic feel where the simpler times were hard yet beauty could be found out the window. Very well written. Gretchen

Beautifully rendered, Paul,
I not only appreciate the sentiments but also the paucity of words you utilized to create this visually and emotively appealing poem.
Thank you for sharing!
