I enjoy reading limericks because of their surprising and humorous final line. This one is really good. Rudolph has a cold, so children around the world may have to wait for Rudolph to drink fluids and get extra rest, while Santa relaxes in the sun. (according to your artwork) lol Best wishes in the contest.

Then he probably won't make it to Australia, as the trip from the North Pole would be too long and tiring! Mind you, his nose is probably even redder if he has a cold!

Oh this is so much fun and probably very true with all the bugs going around. Our Christmas may well have to be put on hold too:

You have a mix of syllables counts here Paul, 7,8,5,6,8, but I still felt a rhythm in this Limerick and I loved the humour, I hope his cold subsides before the one night of the year when he has a job to do. I have had a cold for a couple of weeks now! Love Dolly x

This is a humorous limerick that I think children will enjoy. It would be
