Well done Cindy for painting the picture for us of what it is like for both the workers and the residents in the Nursing Homes during Covid. It is a desperate situation for all. Stay well, and I'm sure it is time to look after you. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the six! Thankfully, it's getting better. Yes, it was time to look after myself or I'd have been no use to anyone.

I can't think of any more of an important job than what you're doing. Thank you so much for your strength and courage. I think your rhyming is very good. Even though you have a terribly tough job, You still write well. Amazing. I wish nothing but the best. Take care.

Thanks for the six! Glad you liked my poem. I haven't written much lately. This is why. It's a tough job, but it needs to be done and it's worth it most days.

Kudos to you and all health care professionals who bare the burden of taking care of the sick and infirmed. This is one of the most stressful jobs in the world...being exposed to sick people day after day. Your poem creatively expresses and describes some of the horrors dealt with on a daily basis. Again, kudos to you for the job you do, and kudos for being able to put it in an informative rhyme.

Thanks. I'm so glad you enjoyed my poem. I haven't been able to write much lately, but when I can it helps with some of the stres

This is a well written poem. The author's words are descriptive, meaningful, clear, upsetting and creative. After reading this, it is
amazing that our medical heroes are still working. Thank you
for the authors notes - they speak volumes! The artwork is perfect
and compliments both the theme and words of this poem. Great Poem!

A well written story in a poem Cindy.

My son, daughter in law and sister are all trained nurse practitioners. Even at the best of times the work is wearing and stressful and insufficiently remunerated. The pandemic has added an additional burden.

Thanks for sharing. Have you read Helen's prayer for emergency workers,? I think it expresses how we all feel about the great sacrifices you and your colleagues are making for all of us.

Stay safe and blessed

Julia

Thanks for the six! I'll have to read that prayer. I haven't been doing much reading or writing lately. Hoping to get back to it.

I agree with the praise for all those on the front line of health. I was watching a documentary from Denmark where they have absolutely no restrictions whatsoever, the doctors say that the modern strain is no worse than the flu, and they are handling the hospital situation without strain, yet we've still got restrictions, but the medical strain is lessening exponentially. Beautifully written Cindy, (I'm living in Australia) blessings Roy

Thanks. Yes, it is lessening, thankfully. They're easing restrictions here, tho some think it is too soon. There are still too many people in ICU. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'd like to add to your kudos my own, to all the nurses and medical staff whom don't get nearly enough appreciation/acknowledgement for their increasingly demanding and challenging, soul sucking jobs. HEROES!

Also - I loved your poem. You painted a vivid picture of what it's like on the "inside".
A great and provocative read. Thanks, for your poem -and- for your Strength

My heart goes out to all the health care workers who have struggled to care for all the pandemic cases, some ungrateful. My oldest sister was one of the first to succumb to the virus; this was before the vaccines became available. You have done a nice job of pointing out how hard it is for the many who are care givers.

Thanks. Yes, it's hard and not everyone appreciates us, especially the ones who can't understand what's going on. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister.
