Mary Kay,
Oh, my stars, friend. I cannot imagine Jan's response when reading this post. I was moved to the point of tears, myself.
The poem is lovely and your new format - created just for this purpose was special enough - but then your author notes did it for me. They left no doubt, whatsoever, about the depth of concern and care you have shown. God bless you BIG. You're adorable.

Mary Kay, you have written a very moving poem about a FS friend Jan's husband, who sadly passed away after a long struggle with brain cancer. You are a woman of compassion and this poem has reflected it. I really like the last line in this well formulated Lake Reflection poem:
Yet God has counted every tear you've shed.
This is an exceptional piece of work.

I thought this was a beautiful poem about the loss of someone special. The poem flowed easily with a natural rhyme. Wonderful word choices. And it was touching.

Mary Kay this is a beautiful poem and what you've written beneath is a message that would touch the heart of anyone. It is so good to know that our friends on this site care enough to share our grief.

Thank you so much, dear Beth, for your beautiful and empathetic six-star review of my poem. Yes, I think it's important not only for writers, but for human beings in all situations to look out for one another and to understand one another, when we go through trials. That's why we pray, "Thy Kingdom, Come." It may not come all at once, for everyone, but it's God's vision for our world. It can happen, one person at a time. Our world is far from perfect, of course. We look forward to that day, when Jesus comes. Meanwhile we can pray. God bless you, my friend. Love, Mary Kay xoxo

The surest sign of love is the willingness to let go. If we truly love another in the sense of Agape, we must set their memory free. Thanks for the post...John

Thank you, John, for your excellent and meaningful review. Yes, I believe Jan loved her brother in exactly that way. She wrote a beautiful poem for him, acknowledging that God had come to set him free -- "A Tribute to Tim" or similar title, in her portfolio. She didn't want him to linger in a suffering condition. I always cherish the memories I have of my loved ones, in our happiest moments. Blessings to you,
Mary Kay

Thank you for your warm and kind review, Ralf. I hope she doesn't find it too overwhelming, but I think it will be alright. It's just so hard to lose a loved one, and there's nothing anyone can do to take away the pain. I just want her to know that she has our support. Thank you so much. God bless you. Love, Mary Kay xoxo
