Sandra, I LOVE lemurs. You have done an excellent job with this entry into your alphabet series. The wildlife park near us have an abundance of lemurs. They're let free roam too, and you often see them relaxing on the grass or climbing along a fence. Such wonderful creatures. I hope Eric loves them too.

I have never actually seen one, but now that I've researched these incredible animals, I'm going to see if one of out wildlife parks have some. Thank you so much, Chloe, for the lovely six stars, you are so nice. Even your picture reminds me of your namesake, my granddaughter. I'm always telling her she is lovely inside and out. You are too. I'm delighted you enjoyed this one, and I'm glad I chose it now!! I'm sure Eric will love this one with the stink fights! LOL. Stay safe, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Lemurs. I must confess I never saw one, not even in the Zoo in Amsterdam. I went there often with my children when they were young, but I can't remember having seen any Lemurs. Even more interesting for me all these details in this piece!
Lovely animals! (except for the stink)

Quite honestly, Marjon, I hadn't heard of them either until I looked up animals beginning with the letter L. I didn't want Lion, because they are so well known and most people know their habits. These were so fascinating, I had to go with it. I'm so pleased you found them interesting as well. Thank you for reading, my friend. Have a nice day. :)) Sandra xx

So welcome!

Hello Sandramitchell,
L is for Lemur - It's a nice piece in continuation of English Alphabet having lovely rhyming scheme in Verse Section, captivating flow in the Prose Section, and beautifully depicting Lemur's various kinds, their habitat, habits and characteristics.
Their use of 'stink' while fighting and courting is particularly noteworthy.
Laudable Research and Presentation from the viewpoint of Education.

Thank you so much, RP, for another of your lovely review. There are so many more of these fascinating animals, it was hard to choose which ones to feature. It's sad, though, that there are so few left in the wild, but at least we know they are thriving in the nature reserve parks, and zoos. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Sandra, Most Welcome!
With best wishes,

Interesting write about these stinkers. I must admit the boy one day will most likely laugh at this remembering how Grandmother must have felt when she wrote this. LOL.
Good one Sandy.

I don't think I'd like someone courting me if they had to make a horrid smell!!! lol. Thank you, Chuck, for another lovely review, and a big hug for the six stars. It's going to be fun when he gets to this page. Such fun animals!! Sending you a hug my dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx

What a lovely write-up on the lemur. I did not know there were so many kinds and that each had their own distinctive characteristics. This was a very interesting post!

Thank you for reading this one, Rebecca, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. I have to tell you, every time I see your name, I do a double take. Your surname is so like my grandparents, (my mother's side) Thwaites. :)) It gives me a lovely feeling. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Should I change horses mid-stream? I originally used our email handle "ties to Thais" shortened to "thaities", then I added Rebecca V., which is my real name.
Should I just knock off thaities, so people are not confused?
-
Absolutely not!! keep it as it is. It's your handle and I can't see why anyone would be confused by it. Have you seen some of the other REAL weird names on here? LOL, yours is fine. I liked that it reminds me of my grandparents, no long passed over. :)) xx

You are simply a lovely person!

They're very cute, as long as I can't smell them. At least nobody gets hurt in a stink fight. I'm not doing so good at guessing them. I had guessed leopard or llama. Lemur never entered my mind, but it was a great choice. I didn't know there were so many kinds of this fascinating creature.

LOL! I don't think I'd like to smell them either, so best keep away when they are feeling amorous!! I did toy with the idea of llama, but then went for the lemur because I knew nothing about them. I wonder if you will guess, M? Thanks you, Cindy, for another great review. Big hugs. Sandra xx

Macaw? Moose? I don't think there are many m's. Monkey seems a little too obvious, and you seem to be going with the lesser known animals.

I love that you are writing this alphabet book that's really sweet. I have liked Lemurs since the movie Madagascar. All this facts you put are so interesting and cool.

You are the second person who has mentioned the movie, Madagascar, and I haven't seen it. I'll be looking for it now. :)) Thank you so very much for the six stars, Megan, and for your kinds words. I appreciate both! Have a wonderful day.:)) Sandra xxx

Hello Sandra. I like the Lemur poem, and it is well written with rhyme and meter. Lemurs are curious little guys. Like so many species, they are unfortunately losing out to humans.

Thank you so much for another of your wonderful reviews, Robert. I was amazed at how fast they have been disappearing. We have to do more to protect these Rain Forests before we lose all the animals who have made it their home, but I don't know what. Thanks again, my friend, have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

It came as a shock to me, Irish. So many wonderful animals living in the Rain Forests around the world are losing their habitats to farms and housing. It's not right or necessary.
Thank you so very much for those lovely six stars, my friend, and the wonderful comments you've made. I do so appreciate them all. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
