good morning stranger....mr or mrs blind
very nice and wise poem
the word imagery of a life that no one except the Lord really fully knows
when we pass we are usually leaving without people around us who have known us all our life...most do not recognize that we had a whole life before we even knew them
but we go home to the One who knows us from the beginning right through to the transformation
have a smiley day

What I liked about this was the stories you told in the poem about a former life, in a faraway land, parts of your life that were unknown to your partner, but shaped your life into the life that is now in their hands. There's an element of mystery to it, an element of spiritual destiny. Nice bright, angelic images lift it up off the page. the long lines weave an intricate dance on that page as well. Very soft and subdued, contemplative. estory

Such a an exceptional and profound poem, Mystery Writer! Your well written words describe a true love that surpasses time, place and circumstances. To find another who sees past the "garment" one has to wear in life, reaching into one's heart and soul, is an angel to behold. This is true love--eternal and everlasting. Being one who believes that our paths in life are predetermined by God, I find this to be the best poem I've ever read on this matter. You surely know and have experienced such love! HURRAH! Your notes are also exceptional and further explain the depths of what you are sharing. A bunch of "SALUTES" to you! While all the world may be a stage, you play a key role in humanity to show that love shines through! Wishing you a win in the contest, along with all the happiness you so much deserve. God Bless. With Respect, Admiration...and Lots of Love, Cathy

This sounds like a tribute poem to a guardian angel, but sometimes it sounds like the guardian angel is also speaking to her/his charge. It also reminds me of an older lady who would like to say more than she is able to, before it is time to die. Very interesting post indeed.

This is a very well-written, inspirational, moving poem. As we age, we Christians should pray for the grace to accept that death is coming and anticipate seeing those who are already gone.

Our lives are so varied, complicated and sometimes convoluted. I am not religious but anything that gives a person comfort, direction and peace of mind is of great value. Good luck in the contest.

This is an unusual "take" on the subject matter suggested by the writing prompt, but it works well. The picture is a lovely addition. The rhyme scheme works well too.

This is an excellent entry to the Feelings poetry contest. I like how you used death as an analogy and life is just a garment we shed when we die. Very nice job. Good luck in the contest.

I really like the words in your poem. We need to hear words that will keep us alive today and into the future. To make someone dead when they are alive, is the worse possible scenario ever. You mention when we open ourselves to such an encounter, we become fully alive. Sometimes when we open ourselves, we must heal a heart that's been hurt first.
