It's not sappy, but if it were, that would be okay. To have a bond like that with someone is priceless and should be treasured.
It's a beautiful presentation, too, with a lovely picture and colored font. Good luck in the contest.

Thanx so much, Yvonne! ;) And you are so right: the sense of truly knowing someone beyond words is something that can only be experienced...but what a fulfilling and comfortable experience it is, yeah?!! :) Take care up/over there and have a wonderful week ahead! ;) Yvette

Good luck in the contest Yvette. Your words presented so much truth and a compelling sense of being able to reach out and touch someone. I loved the picture choice, it was very appropriate.

Comment from Gail Denham
Nicely done with the rhyme scheme - I like the last two lines, "through touch and through thought." - Bonds do endure - my husband laid a Valentine's Day card on my computer, while I had placed one on his recliner. The bond.

Hi Mary and although I'm not the greatest critic to assess something like this, I can and do relate to what you're saying in those few lines. After years of 'togetherness' my wife and I often need no words to connect. A 'something' seen, can trigger a look between us, that means nothing to the onlooker, abut speaks volumes for us! It's one happening that strengthens our bonds. At times, we break into spontaneous laughter over something seen, and passers-by look at us in wonder as to our sanity, I do believe. What we know and what they think? Matters not. It=s something we share many times. Enjoy your day. Ours is bitterly cold - warmed up from minus 21 C to minus 17 C under clear skies! Stiff northerly wind adds further to the cold! Fondest regards Denis.

Sorry for getting your name wrong Yvette. Seems I get worse as I get older! Goodness only knows it was bad en0ough when I was young! My excuse? It was a tough day - actually there's been several, as I have had to change routines long established and followed, added to which it's been one blessed snowfall after another, and I always try to keep access to us easy. One never knows when an emergency might occur. I was tired and had a house full of family and friends, all trying to help me set up a new TV , and an extra large - 38 inch LG Monitor to allow me to continue using my computer! They call the TV smart, but be as that may be, it's the owner - me -who needs to get "smart"! Trying to get my head around a new remote with my poor eyesight, is diabolically tough! I think - only think mind you - I have got the hang of it! Will know tomorrow after I've slept on two days of finding my way around! Now there's a chance for someone! GPS for new TV owners! What a blessing that would be! All in Braille maybe? However, my apologies for my misdemeanour! Got to double check my replies, reviews and my wherewithal more often! Fondest and hope I'm forgiven? Denis (with one N!) Rather ironic don't you think in view of what I wrote in my poem? Lol!

Nothing to forgive, Denis, really -- as a mathematician, I would much prefer folks had numbers in verbal communication because remembering numbers us EASY in any communication, but verbal names? That's a nightmare! ;) ;) Now if it's written, then my brain stores it as a series of numbers and I rarely if ever forget....;) Like your name: the one 'n' was no problem....got stored with Rhymer that first time and done!
You should've gone one step further and gotten the voice-activated remote.... perfect for when those insane remotes look to be well-equipped to run the manned space program, yeah?! Lol!!
You take care out there and 'no worries ' on the name... it happens! ;) Yvette

Yvette,
Aaawww... This is really sweet and precious. It sounds like a married couple who know each other really, really, REALLY well and still have that special connection.
So sweet!!! The presentation is beautiful and your syllable count is just right. Thanks a bunch and good luck!

Not sappy at all. A love so deep, you can almost read each other's thoughts. It's priceless. As long as you still put it into words every now and then!

A very well-written Valentine's poem about having someone close to us who can whisper sweet words in output ears that make the bond between us stronger through touch and thoughts we can share.

A true Valentine. The aura that surrounds a couple for years, is priceless. The mental telepathy that surges between them is like an invisible thread tying them together. You embrace all that with your as you say "sappy" little poem, which I think is priceless.

With your few words, you have conveyed a powerful and moving message about real love--which transcends mere words. The thoughtful rhyming is a nice bonus.

Feeling a little sappy is fine, and as we know can sometimes lead to very good writing. Just like feeling sad can do the same. This poem is so pretty, it is very simple and what I like to call uncluttered. The picture is gorgeous and your words just float.good luck in the contest.
