This poem, The Air That I Breath, presented in rhyming couplets, shows the miracle of talking to plants. A sprout of body experience.

This is a nurturing and sweet poem about a poor plant that needs saving. I think that this plant will be saved. The person will save it. I like your poem talking about a sick fern that needs tending. Thanks for sharing! Good luck in the contest!

Haha, I know this was meant to be heart wrenching and sad, but I found it comical and a very light hearted read. Your skill with the quill made this flow with ease and the dying houseplant seem very needed...
It seems you've captured the essence of contest parameters so I wish you the best of luck. The image, the presentation, the premise are all presented with quality and skill...great job, writer.

Very clever way of portraying not just s plant, but a friend who welcomes you home at night. Although the whacking part could be a bit scary! But a little tender loving care with soothing songs can inspire new growth. Well done.

The author words are creative, interesting and thought provoking.
The reader pondered on the theme of this poem. I found it inspiring
that something in our homes can lift us up after a bad day. The
artwork is perfect and compliments this poem.

I thought this writing prompt was intriguing and you did a nice job with it.
House plants are a joy and a bother. I never can decide if I water them to much or too little.
Well done and good luck.
Blessings

Hello author
what a great entry for the
Dying Houseplant writing contest
Hello author I liked your entry
for Dying Houseplant writing prompt
of how you grabbed a scalpel and gave it a whack.
then--
The rest of the night I softly sing;
hopefully, I soothe the tender leaves.
sound like your singing helped it birthed another sprout. Gert
my beautiful, most cherished fern.

This is a great piece. Treating your fern like a pet seems to make it better. I really like this scheme. Excellent job and good luck in the contest! Cheers

This shows how serious some are about their houseplant. Some as obsessed as others are with their pets. It is good that the gardener has saved this one.
Hope this did well in the contest.

I love plants and it makes me quite sad when one starts withering, so I can relate to your poem.
This Christmas somebody stole two little fir trees from my garden. Some people are incredible...
Beautiful poem and picture.
Good luck in the contest.
