Sometimes I think women can't see beyond a bouncing baby. Like naughty puppies, they are destructive, demanding and do grow up. Mother is the fountain they all drink from. If you get some sleep, then you have won! XXK.

Oh this is so true about the endless number of things a mother is to do. You mention that the chores are two kinds. I think that mothers have so many chores or talents that their job description would be hard to write down. I am amazed at the women who work and have a job. Kudos to them all.

I read somewhere what it would cost to hire someone to do all the chores and jobs that a mother does everyday. It was astronomical.

Very good, Susan. It's the truth a with a mother's schedule/nonscheduled daily happenings. And your rhymes are perfect.

Perhaps to avoid repetition, change this line though:

"an infinite number
of routine tasks
a huge number
of unscheduled ones,"
