I don't have a six star rating for this, but I can offer my prediction that this will win. You should be $100 richer. This is awesome. There are many ghoulish writers out there who can really craft the terror. They don't have your trump card though. Plus your rhymes are great, images are strong, and your rhythm perfect.

It took a lot of imagination to come up with this work. It would be cool if demons really are frightened of the sin of man. Good luck in the contest.

What a delightfully dark Halloween write this is, Craig. Creativity at the max, and a commentary on Man to boot! Your third stanza with all the shapeshifters, banshees, gorgons and even a succubus, for heaven's (or should I say hell's) sake, creates quite the vision for your reader. The fact that this group of devils are actually afraid of Man gives your ending a terrific twist.
Couple the aforementioned with the fact that this is incredibly well written with great rhyme and flow, nothing less than six will suffice.
Terrific job on this, Craig! I'm in awe!

Well worth my last six of the week! We are indeed a hellish species, or so it seems at times - especially when we start trumpeting! This is satire at its best, making great use of mankind's fascination with all things ghoulish at this time of the year. It seems we don't really need all the saints to protect us after all!
