Thank you for sharing such a poignant poem how we are invading the natural feeding and living areas of the polar bears. It is exciting artist like yourself are using their skills to share these sad events.

Thank you for that summary, I agree with you. Animals are God's gift to us. For me I absolutely love Mammoths and I wish humans didnt hunt them just for food and fur.

Hello l.raven, a timely rictameter. Your message is clear. I feel the same way about the land, about our Nation. At the rate that we are going, wildlife will be eliminated just the way farming has been minimized. So much of our what we eat comes other countries. We were once a Nation that could sustain ourselves, but somewhere along the line, the "powers that be" thought it would be more economical to have our food shipped from other countries. There was one little factor that they forgot about ... the cost of oil/fuel, and that cost has made our food prices soar with the eagles. Sorry about the rant--just sharing. Yes, soon we will be a country of concrete. It will match the heads of the Washington politicians.
Of special note:
starving
my home now gone
I don't know where it went
looking around, it's all cement
I'm hungry for food, there's nowhere to go
Perfect complementary artwork choice. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Margaret, LOL...I sooooo agree about the politicians...it is beyond me why we can't open factories here...make and grow our own stuff...we did it years ago...before we sold ourselves down the road...but it makes me sick for the animals today...it's so very wrong...thank you my sweet friend for your wonderful rant...God Bless...love you...Linda xxoo

Hi Kelly, you are so right my friend...we are all God's creatures...and it's wrong to take their land from them...but the greed from the wealthy have been doing it for many years...we better wake up before it is to late...thank you for a wonderful review...love Linda xxoo

Excellent! Such a powerful poem that speaks of the extensive mistreatment of animals, including robbing them of a place to live and have a food supply.. I get SO ANGRY that man destroys the earth, abuses Mother Nature and pollutes the ocean, almost beyond recognition..and then on top of that, it chokes animals to death or they starve slowly .. I don't think they should displace any animals without providing a habitat for them where they can live.. but, your poem screams out the outrage and like you, I will continue to scream and echo your message. The environment and animals are my TWO biggest passions.. and I will never stop on my mission to help be the voice for the voiceless!

You managed to even rhyme here, dear. Well penned expose. Yes, they are hungry and just looking for a way to survive. Your rictameter is solid and expressed with skillfully adapted verbiage. The image and work cohesively form a beautiful penning. Thanks for sharing this one. I found no errors. I just love how you personified this bear :) I can see him saying just that...'just walking down the street in my furry bare feet...' smiles

Such a great message, Linda! Yes, wildlife depend on their normal habitat to stay the same but as urban sprawl continues, and we don't allow bears to enter in our homes to eat (it's a little dangerous), the poor animals starve. Great use of the rictameter and I like the repetition of "starving" of the first line in the last.

Hello L raven
I see you picked Rictameter form which is not easy. I don't know what state you are referring to the good thing you told in your well written poem of how sad to see that the forest now has turning in to concrete and the thought of how wild life cannot find food.
