Hi, Patty
I enjoyed this story of how you got your pen name. I think it was both telling and poignant that your first marriage fizzled. After all, pardon me saying, the guy didn't have your class, thus the truck. Just saying...
Loads of fun.

Hi, Bev;
Yeah, the pick-up truck was just the tip of the iceberg. He got sober a few months ago and found Jesus. He wrote me a long letter to make amends. He says I was at the top of his list. I've never read so much garbage in my life!
But, I forgave him a long time ago and moved on,

Right on, Patty. That's the classy way to go.

Hi Patty
Your story is very interesting. I figured your name was triggered by th song, Mustang Sally
From the "Commitments". ( one of my favourite films) but the fact that you have had Mustang cars certainly entitles you to the name. Thanks for sharing Jen.

Hi there;
Thank you for the R&R. A lot of people think I'm really into horses, and though I love the four-legged Mustangs, too - my love for the Ford Mustang goes way back,

This is a great little story about how you got your name Mustang Patty. This sounds like a fun club, I hadn't seen it yet, I'll have to check it out. This was the second story I've read from the club and how they acquired their name. Maybe I'll join but skip the first, as my name doesn't have much of a story, lol Thanks for sharing. ~Kerry

Hi, Kerry;
I would love it if you join. I think we all could use a refresher on the rules of grammar and learn more about punctuation and parts of speech.

Most definetly, Patty.

Patty, :)
I think I will be joining. I need grammar lessons badly. I'm trying to learn on my own, but having someone show you helps too. I totally missed out on grammar in school. I went to Hartford schools which were behind other middle schools, moved to Coventries 'Captain Nation Hale middle school'. Hartford was just getting into grammar, where Coventry had already taught it, so I totally missed out. See you in the club!
I thought MustangPatty came from your love for horses. :P

Hi, Nome;
I DO love horses, though I've never really seen a Mustang. I owned Arabians, and I had a job grooming racehorses when I was in my teens.
But my name comes from my love for the car -- give me a good muscle car anytime!

I find no flaw in this piece of writing and you made it interesting to me from the word go because you caught my attention with the song and the age . Nicely done

Well, Patty, I guess the writing was on the wall for husband #1 when he made that poor choice of a comment and vehicle!
Fun read about your writing name and love of Mustangs.
On my bucket list is to drive a Mini Cooper, if even just as a rental for a few days.
British green, preferably!

Hi there;
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I got to drive a Mini a few years back. One of my friends in law school had one, and we would drive from Idaho to Portland, OR once a semester. It was a fun car to drive; we used it because it used a lot less gas than my Mustang,

Ah, I knew there was a car called a Mustang, but for some reason I think of them as horses. I thought you were a horse person. Now I know. Hope you enjoy the grammar club.

Hi, Cindy;
Thank you so much for reading. I have had horses and I've worked around horses, but they were usually thoroughbreds of the racing kind, as well as a few Arabians I had for a few years.
No, the Mustang in my name stands for the car.

I find the use of the comma, at times is a bit cumbersome. I have always tried reading what I've written out loud, usually that tells me where a comma should be placed. Patricia

Hi, Patricia;
I usually read all of my work out loud as part of my editing process. I did learn quite some time ago that I pause in reading and make breaks where a comma is not properly used. So, I had to hit the books and teach myself all over again. (It was easier to learn it the third time around; I learned it all again when I homeschooled my son for third and fourth grades.)

You told your story well. It was very interesting and enlightening as to why you go my your chosen FS name. The storyline was well thought out and cohesive in its presentation. I too used to drive only manual transmission cars until my knee got so bad that I needed to switch to automatic transmission cars. Arthritis is a drag for sure. As I get older my arthritis spreads to other parts of my body. Not much any of us can do about it but compromise with how we choose to live our lives. The photo you chose to represent this tale is very cherry, indeed. Thanks for sharing.
Take care, Jesse

Hi there;
Thank you so much for the R&R. I'm glad you enjoyed the story of how I got my handle. Yes, arthritis is horrible. I just started getting cortisone shots in my knees. The relief is good, but I hate to think about how much it will hurt when the effect wears off. I still don't have the mobility I used to, and they are still talking about knee replacement...oy!

Hi Patty,
I had my left knee replaced in 2011. I'm supposed to do the same thing to my right knee. I'm not sure I want to. I heal slowly because of diabetes and age. I don't envy you. It's a hard choice to make.

I've heard the rehabilitation process is awful. I feel like I need to do something though. In the last year, I've gained 50 pounds because I can't exercise; I want to live to see my grandchildren through college - so...
-
I wish you well with your surgical journey. Recovery can be long, but I've known several folks who have regained their active lives after surgery. You don't look old enough to have grandchildren. They are a blessing, aren't they? I am childless, so no grandchildren for me. Cherish them, and bless the fact that you have them in your life. Good luck!
