Love that picture :) I'm sorry you're alone and longing for companionship. Your descriptions of the birds diving forA treat brought back fun memories of our vacay in Mexico. First time I saw pelicans and we were highly amused by them diving for treats and scaring swimmers lol!

I'm a real beach bum at heart, even bought two lots in Belize and one in Costa Rica, planning to move to one place or the other in 2003. Of course, life doesn't always work out like we want. But, we can't give up. As long as we have our health, or some strong semblance of, there is always the chance of tomorrow, that special place, or special someone to share it with. Thanks for another fine poem. :-)

But my dear, you are never alone with a pelican. That sounds like the start of a poem. I have just finished reviewing I am Cat's latest and she wanted to be alone. Then there's you wanting to be with someone you love. Seems like the only ones happy are the pelicans but they can't write poetry. Pity that.
