I don't usually review the mushy ones but this one's a cut above. Unusual form: invented as you wrote (or after) I guess, but it works good and the imagination of the poem is good too and affects and stimulates all the senses; esp. sweet and thanks for the protein. Best of luck in the contest. cvc

"mushy" only works if it's chocolate based dear - and I agree wholeheartedly (I don't do "mushy" either).
Best wishes

beautiful written free cerse for vallentines day.
Loved the lines...
cacao and cream and speckled sugar all assembled
I'll find my warm brown freckled eggs with yolks of marigold suns
favourite stanza...
scarlet feathered flowers
set a-flame
at sunset
to lick the sky
into pink and glowing submission
till it begs for laughing mercy
and cedes the finest
powdered, snowy sugar ...
just for you, my sweet
great job
regards
tia

No six to give you, I'm afraid and yes, I could have picked this a syours without seeing your name on it.
Some delicious tongue in cheek humour here, too - I can just see all the Queens' cows plopping all over the manicured lawns.... or does each one have a royal footman (tailman?) with a personalised pooper-scooper?
Love it.

Well of course you could dear - we both have pretty distinctive styles, hmm? The queen's cows don't poop! Didn't I tell you that? (special breed she gets - imported all the way from Tarzania!) :)))S

Your free verse is a hyperbole of feats that a lover would try to please the palate and win his Love for Valentine's Day. His acquisitions, though exaggerated, may well win a woman's heart if she is willing to accept the poetry of the words.

love the alliteration and descriptive detail of jitterbug jungles of torrid Tarzania
Wonderfully creative and fun examples of hyperbole in this declaration of the things this speaker would do for her love
Scrumptious detail in this wonderful Valentine's Day poem - good luck in the contest with a fanciful and exuberant entry :-) Brooke

Wow! This took some thought to up with a valentine like this one. All that work hopefully will get you the prize. I liked it, Visionary, but it will make a pretty big valentine. I sure.
