Lee - can't give you a six because I already have recently. I was smiling from the into until the author notes. I did wonder how much was non-fiction! Very enjoyable. Bill

LOL funny! You have a knack for telling a yarn. I'm sure this resonates with a great deal of senior citizens who could care less about keeping up with technology. I liked how you think the lap top is to be used as a lap warmer and a tray for your food. When you finally discover it opens all sorts of things happen. I kept wondering where your instruction book was, but you covered that by your sister sending the 'Computer for Dummies' book. Keep em' coming.

Thank you, Patricia. The problem with instuction books is that they assume you already know something. "Knowing" doesn't run in my family. I'm glad your enjoyed. Peace, Lee

Well, if the darn thing played the Bear Barrel Polka you may not know anymore than you do now, but you would have had a fondness for vodka with your spam. Funny stuff, Lee. Clueless is good for a laugh even outside Seattle. Be well. Larry

Hey, Larry, thank you. I'm glad you got a chuckle. I'm not expecting to hear from the Pulitzer committee about this one.
    Thanks again. Peace, Lee

I found this to be the most entertainingly understated, dry humor piece I've read in a long time. We evidently have the same type of humor... dry and sarcastic. We'll chuckle to ourselves and amuse ourselves, and go on our merry way... (while looking around to see if anyone else got it)

anywho... moving right along...

As I was saying... or... typing... I loved the Boldish next and kielbasa joke... although... it might be true...
You know... you CAN call this, "Creative non-fiction"... if you're somewhere in the middle of fiction and non-fiction... you know... "expanded" non-fiction? they actually have a category for "Creative Non-Fiction". Go figure.

Favorite line:
Damned if the blasted thing didn't give me a shock that like to turn my nose hairs into porcupine quills, and caused my decorative testicles to seek refuge where my appendix used to loiter.

and I didn't "get" this one...
Will wonders never crease? Mortimer Snerd? The dummy dummy? Are you sure "crease" is the word you want? If it is, I don't get it. LOL... not to say it's not funny, just that I don't get it. Is it "cease"? just a typo?

moving right along....

Anyway, I loved it!

And that's that!

Thank you so much, Cat. I couldn't resist calling this Self-help Fiction---this might spawn a whole new spate of books. Actually, 'crease' is intestinal---whenever I find myself writing a cliche, I have to do something to it. Same with hunt & poke. Just a little game I play. Again, thank you so much for all the stars, and comments. Peace, Lee

I don't even know how to respond to this, the funniest thing I've ever read. Except thanks a lot I've peed my pants, and you know that is not attractive on a grown woman, or an old woman, though more acceptable. Then again I'm not that old so see it's just not right. For someone to twist every line in a story and make your head spin with brilliant wit is enough for me to be happy the rest of my life. Even your damned authors notes cracked me up. Now I'm going to let you in on a secret book I found even though this is totally public and so is the book, FIND the book by John Lennon called, "In His Own Write." Let me know when you have read it, then I'll send you to my version of that style of writing. Where have you been all my life? George Carlin would be so proud of you. I always ask him to help me, even though he's dead. OMG! You made my day Lee. This is a treasure to say the least. Love, Vicki

Vicki, I can't thank you enough for this delightful review. Sorry about your pants, though. I will look up Lennon's book---I'm very curious to see what you did to it. You have turned around and made my day. Tit for tat. Peace, Lee

I enjoyed this very much - especially seeing as how it's a humorous piece coming from an un-humorous man of late. I am glad to see that the silly-willies are attacking...

Loved the part about the third day learned it would open up. Too funny!

Thank you, Robyn, and yes, I'm trying to shake the blues. I try to balance the serious and the humorous, but it doesn't always work out that way. I'm glad you enjoyed. Peace, Lee

This was just soo funny. So your finally joined the ranks of laptop users. I still working away with my old reliable PC.

Antthing smaller than that is for kids with 20/20 vision. Anyway from what I hear I am way out of date, the tablet is the way to go.

Better go swallow one and see how my writing improves

--"You may call it technology, but it's just ticknology to me---because it plum ticks me off!"
Ha! Witty.
--"I am the anti-geek. I am the nerd that nerds point at and shout, Nerd!"
Wow! That's quite nerdy. :)
--"I spell social media S-T-D."
Ha!
--"For two days I watched half a dozen football games and ate all my meals from my glorious new laptop. On the third day, I discovered the damn thing could be opened"
Hahaha!
--As usual, humorous and a little edifying. It is called a 'lap' top, isn't it? :)

Hey Lee,

Man, and I thought my uncle was bad. He can't send an email to save his life, but he has figured out on-line poker...

Totally enjoyed this one. Great 'voice' coming from your protagonist, right down to those little itty bitty mistakes he says - that you catch sometimes on the second time around.

Seriously, Spam Surprise? That sounds like something they served us in college, along with spackle, and Grade F but Edible hot dogs (I saw the box once!).

Couple small things:

Damned if the blasted thing didn't give me a shock that like to turn my nose hairs into porcupine quills, (did you reamll mean 'that like to turn'? If so, leave, if not, adjust. I wasn't sure about this one.)

Heck, what would Mortimer Snerd need with a computer, anyway? But I leafed through it anyway. (The two 'anyway's so close together at the end of the sentences is a bit repetitive. Consider adjusting one.)

Take care,
Sissy

LOL enjoyed reading this. My first computer built for me by a friend, I proceeded to erase the modem (thought it looked like something I didn't need) and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get on the internet. I'm a real oldie, but goodie. LOL Thank you for sharing this jewel. Blessings, Barbara
