Thank you, Loyd! It's good to hear that I have a 'style', as it were. I was really happy when I found the pic; I knew instantly it was the one to go with my poem!

I like it! You create a complicated story, that is provocative, and maintain a structure and rhyme within the poem. Nice work! The message is, of course, grim, but, in my mind, quite appropriate for the time we are living in currently.

Thank you, Laurie :-). I wanted a pretty complex and multi-layered poem for the opening chapter; it gives me many ways to go with future installments! So glad you enjoyed the read, and thanks for taking the time to share your reaction with me.

Mike, I am so pleased to have come back in time to catch part one of what promises to be an intriguing thoughtful and provocative series on The wand'ring Man. Far more than merely post apocalyptic horror...this promises to be another journey into your wonderful imagination.
Bravo.

Aww, thank you, Suzie B :-). I have too many ideas for this, so who knows where it'll go! Just watched your trailer on Youtube; great comic timing with the words, and great idea too; a trailer for your book!

Thank you, Janalea :-). I wanted this to be more than just a post-apocalyptic poem, so I'm glad it's working on more than one level.

Just got back from celebrating my Birthday, and look what I find? Cool, I too love the artwork Mike, I take it you are going to write a monster of a poem and create a delicious fantasy tale with awesome visuals, powerful emotions and a dusting of Fleedleflump humor...IM IN!!
This was a treat of a read;
Part III, second stanza... COOL!!
I'll be back...

Mate, I hope you had a great time! I couldn;t believe my luck when I found that artwork; perfect for the poem and its mood. I certainly do plan on writing a monster, no idea how many chapters or anything yet, I'm just following my nose, and my character :-)
Cheers mate, and Happy Birthday!

I'm speechless. That NEVER happens.
You are a master, Fleedle, and I bow in your awesomeness. I'VE NEVER SAID THAT BEFORE.
If I can ever speak again, I might contribute more to this pathetic review.

This is interesting. It is good free-verse. Your message shows a deep fear of what is happening to our world through the greed of man.
Remember this: It will all come out in the wash.
Thank You My Friend,

Hi Fleedleflump,
This is a very accomplished poem. I am not a fan of very long poetry but once I began to read this one I felt compelled to continue. Your imagery and descriptions are first rate. A fabulous poem, to say the least.....chey

Thank you, Chey :-). This was going to be ridiculously long until I realised I could alleviate the pressure by making it a book, written in poetic installments. Part two soon! I'm so glad you took the time to read through :-)
