What a fun poem -- perfect for reading right after I've watched the weather in the Northeast! This is an excellent time for a smile and you certainly brought one to my face. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ann

Hey Ann, thank you for this fun loving review and comments. Actually I think it is the Northeast that is getting the horrible snow right now that we are only getting in the northern part of the state.
But our temps already Have the lakes frozen for fishing. My son has a 9000 lb fish house and same size truck to pull it to put it on the lake so that gives you an idea how cold it has to get here in order to be on the lake. Believe it or not he has a fireplace and leather recliners to fish in and carpeting holes and each hole has a big screen tv where they watch the fish come in and they can even watch when it bites. It is pretty cool.
Oh sorry for going on and on, but it still scares me to put something that big on the lakes.
I sure wish I was down there with my Texas friends. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season too. Take care, my friend. Much love, Debi

I have never even seen a 'fishing house' on the lake and can't imagine feeling comfortable in it! Does sound fun for those younger ones! ann

Hi Ann, I just sent you a couple pictures you might get a kick out of.

You and me both are feeling the bitter cold of winter just now Debi. Jack Frost has definitely taken over in my town in Lichfield and spreads the earth with a sprinkling of icy terror. I felt the cold in your well rhymed poem Debi. Light a fire and sip a hot drink, wrap up warm and wear your woolly socks! Love Dolly x x x

Oh, Dolly, you too? It is so cold here right now that the ice is almost safe enough for my son to take his 9000 lb fish house on and drive his 10,000 lb truck to pull it. This fish house has a fire place full bath and shower, kitchen, living room, leather recliners for fishing people to sit in and watch a big screen tv to see the fish bite. It really is fun and cool. There are carpeted circles that pulls out of the floor and they they drill a hole in the ice.
We have a big fishing family.
Anyway, yes, you and I have shared about winters before and and to tell you the truth, this was all in fun as I only have to go out for appointments so it isn't so bad. I am so blessed and love the holiday season.
Thanks for your fun review and yes, I do love sitting by the fireplace with my cocoa. You stay warm too and have the best possible holidays. It truly is all about family. God bless you and yours and thanks again. Love, Debi

That fish house sounds like an eskimo igloo Debi, how wonderful this is for those who enjoy to fish in comfort! Stay warm Debi and thank you for sharing this information with me, love Dolly x x x

Reading you notes after the poem was more than enough to do me in, Debi. I can't stand to be cold and the thought of minus 70 degrees seems more than I could endure. I just returned home from North Carolina, and there were large pieces of ice floating down the river this morning. No hip hip hooray from me.
Smiles, Carol

Thanks sweetie for the awesome review and such kind comments for my silly cold streak rant. Most of it was all in fun and I just was in the mood to be silly today. I sure appreciate you. So happy holidays, my dear friend.

Haha! This poem is fun and funny. I lived in Pennsylvania, where some winters were brutal. I've driven on snow and ice several times where my car took a dangerous spin or was stuck in snow.
You've done an excellent job with your humorous poem, letting us know just how NOT fun cold, ice, snow, and freezing temperatures can be. Yes, please kick Jack Frost.

Hilarious and so true! I can't believe you live in Minnesota! Nice to learn something new about you today. Did you take that picture? If so, I should have given you six stars, lol.

Debi, your extreme humor is well understood. Talk about being cold: I am crying out when the temperature is 26 degrees. 70 degrees? Are you kidding me. Is Minnesota located at the North Pole? =)
I didn't find the poem silly. It just made me go Brrrr.
Complain away, Debi, and thanks for making me feel colder than do. =)
BTW, I am all for kicking Jack Frost in the balls, but unfortunately my artificial knees won't reach that high.

Hi Husein, Haha, you know that I had my knees done over two years ago and they still feel numb in places and cannot kneel on anything anymore.
Do you still feel that at all? Mine were done with a month off in between them.
But I guess I could kick Jack Frost's snow balls cause he is only as big as the first ball of snow on the ground used to make a snowman. LOL.
Thanks my dear friend for this delightful and fun comments.
Lotsa love, deb

Ha! Poor Jack Frost's snowballs. This cracked me up, Debi. Winters here in Texas are not so bad. We had six inches of snow three years ago, which caused electrical outages for nearly a week. We don't want that again.
God bless,
Steve

The fishing house sounds like a dream I would enjoy something like that. I have a bay liner and enjoy saltwater fishing.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. May all your blessings be fulfilled.

My daughter is a big time rep for a big company, and she and her family go every year south of New Orleans to fish redfish. She took my husband with once and I think she's been to Texas fishing off of South Padre Islands. But her husband who get's laid off in the winter, he goes to Texas and fishes in your lakes. He stays for three month and Bridget and the kids fly there to see him on weekends. This is his second year so he must love your lakes. They live on one but is not in to the ice fishing so much.
-
It seems we keep our lakes stocked, but I've never been a freshwater fisherman; not enough action, lol. Besides, the big fish love the bay.
-
Well just in case you know the area, he fishes mainly at Lake Fork, or something like that.

Sooo, forgive me for expounding on such puerile dribble, young Miss., but, violence such as this, and I quote, "Let's kick him in his cold stow balls.", is barbarous at best. Not to mention vicious and vulgar, and, most noticeably funny. It's very endearing. I expected nothing like this from you. Oh, I must mention well written, and something about rhyme and meter and some other poetry stuff that I don't understand. You know the blah, blah, blah stuff. Good balls. With your dictate to all to kick Jack Frost like men in the snowballs, I'm glad it doesn't get that cold here.

So, my just dropping a hook in the water from the back of a river and snoozing until I get a bite isn't fishing where you live.

Only in the summer, my dear friend.haha.

You are a dear.

I always think snow looks really pretty when it first falls, but I soon get fed up with it, I have bad knees so I'm always worried about slipping on the ice as my knees dislocate very easily. A well written piece, Debi, I enjoyed reading it.

Thanks Santha, I have a feeling that it is about as bad for you in the summer with the heat as it is for us in the winter.
