I hope you've had a brilliant birthday, Debi. I've loved reading all the poems about you today. Next year I'll definitely remember to try and write one for you. I hope you have a great year ahead.

I'm glad you had a special birthday. You deserved the nice treatment after doing it for so many all year long. Age is a gift that many people don't live to see. It's something I need to work on accepting as well. Have a great day.

It is a lovely tribute to friends and a great philosophy on aging. So many lines are poignant, but I particularly like the final line, which sums it up. "For now on my life I will live, And not think about age at all." gayla

Debi,
This is an excellent poem. I like the way it flows and and ends. It sums up what a lot of us feel when being met with milestone birthdays, 40, 50, 60. I think those milestones make us take a deep look at ourselves. Fear not, God is on our side. I believe we are all born with a expiration date and when God wants us home he will call us.

You're forgetting each day you bless our day by just being a part of it. I am truly blessed by knowing you. You always bring joy and happiness to me, as I am sure you do others.

I have no idea what age you are but I hope this year is filled with joy and hope and happiness. I love that you make all of us feel special on our birthday. Age ain't nothing but a number, Baby. Gretchen

Debi...
Your poem is perfect. Especially the last two lines:
For now on my life I will live
And not think about age at all
Hope your birthday was just like you, blessed and beautiful!
I owe you a birthday dinner post. What would you like me to prepare? You name it.
Enjoy the day and your beginnings of a new year!
Love ya.
John

Seventy is as much a blessing as a shock to our system.
With nine birthday tributes to you (and maybe more) -- you have realized it's never been about the number of days on this earth...
It is all about how many hearts you have touched.
In posts and reviews you have had constant affirmation of how much your kindness and love is recognized and how much your love changes lives!
This poem is another example of how we much good we can do as we move through every stage of life!
Look at life through the windshield, not the rear-view mirror." -- Byrd Baggett
So happy you've had an amazing show of love!

Hey K, the count is now ten. I just got a six star review for this one from Lisa, Jazmine girl, and she said she wrote me a poem too. So I pray I am not missing anyone else. How embarrassing, and I don't have time to review anyone as I have family coming today and then we are all going to eat.
My hubby just went to town to get the newest antibiotics that the surgeon ordered for my eyes. I cannot believe he put me back on those cause I thoug we were free of infections. So I listened to my audio of it and it says that they have to make sure before the oxervate gets here.
Thanks for the kind comments about it and hope you saw your part in it. Love and hugs, Debi

If I spot any more I'll give you a heads up! Have fun with your family today, Debi!
If antibiotics are needed BEFORE Oxervate can I assume somehow it got approved?
-
It has always been approved and it feels like my docs are saying it's a matter of when, not if it comes. So they are confident that I will get it. It just has to come cause it sounds like it is my last hope. And yet if I have to have the cornea transplant anyway, then wouldn't that correct my blindness? I am still confused because I don't always understand where they are coming from.
-
Got it. I think. (smile) --
I know you said your insurance denied it the first time around...but this is a convo for another medium, I think...
Glad you're getting what you need, though!

I wrote a Happy Birthday poem for you, too. Please read it at my portfolio. You have so many friends here and let's grow older together.
Are you swimming in the pool of birthday poems from us?
Excellent.

Oooh Lisa, I didn't know that or I would have recognized it to you. OMGosh, I feel so bad now. Please forgive me and I will go look right away. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and for the six stars for this. It should me giving them to you. Which I will when I review you. However I wanted them all to get a six so I will review you next week. Unless you want one a virtual one this week? But I am so touched by them that I know I will love yours too.
Thank you again, my sweet friend. I love your endearing comment about let's grow older together. Hugs and much love, debi
