Your poem beautifully shares the sorrow of losing someone. It's a beautiful and touching poem. I though the change from grief to the hope that her memory and the angel's prayer will provide comfort was wonderful. The closing lines work so well. It's a touching and heartfelt poem that is so touching to read.

This is very well written at it poem that his used good punctuation, which makes it read very well when it is read aloud. I wish you the very best and I also wish our friend the very best as he goes through this time of grieving. Patricia.

That is such a beautifully written poem, and so very meaningful. Nomi will appreciate it very much, with its understanding and compassion. Your writing is very smooth with silky rhyme and very smooth metre. Very well done.

This was a beautifully written poem. I love the representation of her being with him still, only the physical remainder of her is gone. Once in our hearts, the person remains. We can draw on that long after they are gone. Gretchen

Hello Jess!
I was on this one quick! You are such a wonderful poet. Your sense of iambic rhythm in this sonnet is spectacular. Your words flow like gentle waves on the coast of a calm sea.
I reviewed Nomi's poem about his wife just yesterday. Before that, I had read poems for Nomi by Debi Marquette and karenina. I offered my condolences to Nomi and extended my hand in friendship. And this was all because of the tribute poems offered by FanStory's awesome poets.
I have no idea why I have not gone back to your portfolio since "Black," Jess, but I plan to spend a significant amount of time there this weekend. I also used your 5th stanza example in a review I wrote earlier today.
---"An echo trails his steps through vacant halls,/Within the quiet home that holds their years. --I just pulled this out to highlight the perfect rhythm, but also to remark on the phrase "that holds their years." Beautiful!
I've said before how much I admire your ability with the craft and your talent with the artform. I look forward to enjoying more soon!
