Barbara, Thank you. Terry.
Comment from Bruce Carrington
The ending cracked me up. I liked the way you decided to tell that story; it felt as if we were sitting at the bar, actually drinking the whisky, and the fantastically interesting story was being shared. Would absolutely love to read more of your real-life stories, Terry. Very well done.

Too much of a good thing i, well, great. Maybe you could check out the Gamblers Anon thing, but if you're drinking the expensive stuff, you can't afford to be an alcoholic. This was a fun and friendly wager that entertained me a great deal. I like how you bet, with your heart. Luckily, it worked out in your favor. My luck isn't like that. I really enjoyed. Just one complaint, you don't post enough. Gretchen

It's awesome to have a lifelong friendship like the two of you and to banter back and forth. I think Kirby won that round, though. LOL. Very cute story, Terry. Thanks for sharing.

Good afternoon, Terry!
Just came in from a morning from working in our gardens = I'm dirty, sweaty, and exhausted. But when I checked my messages, your name appeared, and I had to check out your latest post!
No disappointments whatsoever!
What a hoot!
Love the banter and the entire narrative.
Now, I cannot play golf to save my soul, but I do love the game, so I did understand all of the ins and outs which you were sharing with readers.
HOWEVER, I do believe you may have sipped on a few shots of whiskey when you posted for the following reasons: (Just need a few touch ups,,, to keep you humble!) :)
1.A year after Kirby started working with me. (,) I left my position and
2. This was how it went this year. (:)
Thank you for sharing!
Now... back to gardening!

This is a wonderful story!
I don't think you were a jerk. I thought your bottles, diminishing, were a hoot.
By the way, I grew up in Augusta, and went to the master's every year, until I moved to Texas for a job. I was very lucky.
This was many years go, fun times.
Also, Have you ever played golf on the course at Crested Butte, CO? It's a fun course to play.
I enjoyed your post.

ad you like to write funny stories!
Comment from BethShelby
This is a cool story. I espefially like the funny comment at the end about him signing you up for AA and Gambler's Anonymous. It is neat that you and Kirby still have a lasting friendship.

Comment from Wayne Fowler
I'm with Kirby. And I'll even drive you to the meetings.
(laughy face here)
Well written. Good work.
After reading the post, I'm not so sure about the validity of your 9th paragraph. (another laughy face here)
Best wishes.

Wayne, thanks for the offer, but a retired priest, who live in our senior condo complex has offered to drive me...but he has been known to take a nip from a flask...all day. Terry.
