I don't think I am going to want to miss any of these birthday cards you write, my friend -- I have known Steve for many years. He is a fabulous poet, and his wife is a wonderful artist, often illustrating for him.

My husband, Glen and I are celebrating ours too. Funny how everyone thinks they are so in love when they get married. But the truth is after fifty years, if you make it, you have been thru it all, just like you and your husband so we know. Right? Speaking of how is he doing? How are you doing?

Congrats on your anniversary! Is it your 50th? Yes, you two have been through a lot together, as have we.
Mitch seems to be doing well, but not sleeping well yet. He's glad to be at home, and he's starting to do things for himself, as he gains more mobility and strength. Blessings & congrats!

I did look at Steve's YouTube Channel, and it was awesome. I wasn't sure about the she/he because I wasn't sure if "I" was following the thought correctly...did you follow that. A senior moment. Lol. A fun poem. Xo. M

I bet the father of Cheezel the Weasel will love this poem! You did a great job fitting in biographical information and rhymes at the same time. The only little suggestion I had was on the last line:
We think you're great, sorry it's late, a Happy Birthday Steve
I would put a comma after Birthday.
