It is insane and likely criminal and has me pause to ask what they do with their kids that disappoint them
I wonder how many are left on the street or escape from a non-loving home for worse. ð??¡

Thank you. These are the kind of people who are just as likely to abuse a child as an animal. I don't understand how they can dump an animal out then go to a warm home and eat a good meal. It just isn't right.

Firstly, I'd just like to thank you for all the good you've done for these animals and the way in which your wonderful story strikes at the heart of the reader. Your rant touches on a subject for me which sickens me to the core. No animal ever deserves to be treated in this cruel and heartless way, especially when there are often places such as animal shelters where they can be taken. I think your punishment to fit the crime is excellent. Like you, I couldn't find enough names to call them (but you made a sterling effort). An excellent, faultlessly written piece! Well done and good luck! Debbie

Thank you. I used all the words I could without having to put a language warning on the story. In real life, I call them much worse things than I have written here. There is no word to describe what these people truly are.

It's a great piece. Your examples brought tears to my eyes mixed with anger. A successful write!

First of all, Sweetie looks so loveable, fluffy and adorable. In this rant, you give enough detail and examples to convince even an uncaring person that you are justified in the way you feel. Words like scumbags, riffraff, low-life, and sleazy, demonstrate your distain for people who abandon helpless animals. This is very written, and I agree with every word. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you. Actually, Sweetie is not what she appears to be. I have six cats and Sweetie rules them all. None of the other cats dare to cross Sweetie. I love her dearly, but she is a bully when it comes to who rules the house. Lol

Sweetie is a very beautiful and much loved cat thanks to you. As I was reading this it made my heart hurt. My husband, Tom, and I have so many cats because they show up on our property and we take them in. They are all beautiful and we love them. I always ask the Lord to help us be able to feed and take care of them. We don't have a farm, just the land that goes with our home. God has blessed us with means to take care of them and love them. We tried to find homes, but no one wanted a cat. People don't realize how precious and special they are. They give so much comfort and love to us. They just want a warm place to sleep, food, water and love. Thank you so much for sharing and for sharing the lovely picture of Sweetie! love and blessings, teri

Thank you, and thank you for sharing your life with those beautiful animals. Cats have so much love to give if one cares for them. I love dogs, too, but cats have a special place in my heart, and I hate to see them abused. Cats do chose who they love, but once they give you their heart, they never take it back.

HERE HERE!!! I absolutely despise scumbags like that. I want to line them up like ducks, strip them of their clothes and throw them out in the middle of nowhere in winter time just like you said.
I have seen some nasty things when it comes to animals and very often I feel more anger for their abuse then for anything else because you're so innocent.
If I had a six it be yours because I completely concur. I see, no issues with this, it's gramatically perfect. You've got great subject matter. Fine word choices very well-thought-out. Put together. This was a fine read and I wish you the best of luck!

Thank you. YAY! You're my kind of person. If we could get the whole world to feel this way, we could ship all those perverted jerks off to faraway places. Cats are my passion. I'm seventy-seven, and I still have six cats that were dumped on our road. The oldest is twenty-two and the youngest is six. I will have to live to ninety to outlive the youngest cat, and I intend to do just that.

I think that's terrible if I was close to you. I'd come scoop them all up right now. And come live with me and my Pomeranian!

These examples prove that animals are better than people! I fought back tears when I read your examples. Even taking a pet to the SPCA is better than deserting them. I like your punishment plan for these criminals. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you. I cried a lot of tears for the ones I couldn't save. I still have six cats and one dog that are rescues. I'm seventy-seven and intend to outlive all of them so I can care for them to their deaths.

This story is very important and I completely agree about animals never being abandoned. We've always kept our animals and in the past when we had reason to not be able to keep an animal, we placed an animal in a home first. That was a long time ago. We don't even go out now due to health concerns but if we have to go out I already have plans about even leaving our cat alone for the day. Humans must think of our animals as we would ourselves; they are precious.

Best wishes,

Alexandra

Thank you. Animals that live with you should be considered family. I'm feel happy that you take such excellent care of your cat. I have six cats and a dog and love them all.

I agree with you about discarded or abandoned animals. My brother and his wife found 8 puppies abandoned at the local vets crying out with hunger, they managed to call the RSPCA, they said many animals had been purchased during the pandemic, and now there is a lot of them abandoned or dumped, all of our five dogs and cats have been strays, I don't know what's wrong with, animals are always forever pets, part of the family, I hate it also. Well done, blessings Roy

Thank you, and thank you for taking in strays that needed homes. It does my heart good to hear stories like yours.
