This is skilfully written, well metered and rhymed Jim and I loved this quaint and endearing story. Your humour is magical and your pen is inked with talent, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Why, thank you, Dolly. That is high praise indeed. Now I've got to try it out on my two young grandsons, who I hope will enjoy it as much as you did.

Aw, this is such a fun poem about all the different animals. I also loved all the play with words. What a great poem for children and adults alike. The best of luck. Ulla:)))

Where?
Oh. I should read it first, but the title took me to the notes automatically.
Now that's done, it was a fun read, but disappointedly in that none of the creatures mentioned swung a golf club. Why not? Are they mad at the PGA?
Maybe they like LIV because of the bombastic music played. By the way, is that live at the site or only on the television.

You know, I haven't seen a LIV tournament, so I couldn't tell you, but you've given me an idea for another poem with your pointing out that none of the animals were golfing. I'll have to remedy that.

Well done, Jim! A great entry filled with fun and tongue-twisters and enjoyable for adults as well as children. Your ability to play with words and homophones is also an added gem here. Good luck! Debbie

Outstanding. This is a perfect entry for the children's poetry contest. Not only was it well-constructed, but your clever words are also very appealing to children. I have two giggling little girls here who will attest to that. And trust me, they are a tough crowd. Two thumbs up from Morgan, and 667 stars from Camryn, to be exact.
Well done, MM!

Well, nice to have the support of genuine experts! I'm hoping even my 7 and 10-year-old grandsons will like this one, as they don't seem to like most of my poetry. 667 stars. Wow! Tell Camryn they are much appreciated!

Brilliant Jim. This will certainly be a poem that will make children laugh and giggle roll and wiggle. They will get a kick out of the visual described here and so did I. Well done. Nancy:)

Well done. This was a scream to read as I loved the tongue twisters throughout the poem. I loved it so much that I read it over and over and had more fun each time I read it.
This works well and the picture fits the piece to a tee. Thank you for the morning smiles.

Thank you, Jesse. It's amazing what pictures you can find on the internet to accompany just about anything--even a panda playing the bagpipe!

I'll bet. I don't spend much time on the internet. I usually spend more time listening to my audiobooks and listening to music.

Thank you for sharing this children's poem contest entry with us. As a former first grade teacher, if I was still in the classroom, I would read this poem to my students and have them choose a stanza and illustrate it. I enjoyed reading and good luck with the contest.

Thank you, Barbara.
My wife was also a first grade teacher until she retired and now is a reading aid for first graders having problems reading. I have written a couple of poems to help her with her lessons.
