Pratfalls are a never-exhausted source of humour. You set this one up well with the seemingly romantic first two lines before hitting the reader with the clumsy ending. I reckon I'd have tried not to give the show away with the title you use - maybe try for something more subtle.

This is hilarious. I guess few of us are any good at dancing around puddles like Gene Kelly might have been. Nice share with a classic movie allusion there to refer back to as well.
