You're so funny, Tom! And I had to laugh out loud at "I was about ready to go get a dog sled team to clean our floor." I believe you that it's tough and it also depends on the type of vacuum cleaner you have, too. Maybe it's time to invest in a roomba and have it robotically cleaned? Enjoyed your story!

Hello Helen,
I don't know if a roomba would have the strength. We have a Shark, and I think it was living up to it's name, practically eating the carpet. I'm not kidding, I was panting and sweating when I got done. It was quite the workout. Thanks so much for the fine review gal.
Have a blessed evening.

Well, if curling is an Olympic sport, I don't see why Hoovering shouldn't be! 😊

Yes!! I agree! What kind of sport is sweeping the ice in front of a whatever that thing is? I'm sure it takes skill, but how much endurance is involved? At least with Hoovering a certain amount of stamina is required.

I had to laugh at the beginning of this. My husband does the vacuuming, and one time I told him since he was hurting, I would vacuum. He had to get up to show me how to turn the thing on. Then in 3 minutes flat, I jammed the thing, and he had to get up again.
I enjoyed your story, and maybe there should be an Olympic event.
I also like the name, Hooverites -
A clever and delightful read.
Best wishes,
Mary

Thanks so much for the great review Mary. I was laughing as you mentioned your husband having to get up to fix it. I started to vacuum the other day, and the roller stopped turning. I had to stop and turn it over and pull a ton of hair out of it. Jan has long hair and apparently she must lose a bit of it on a regular basis. I pulled enough to make a wig, Holy cats.
Have a blessed evening.
