How nice you are Deb, to keep us up to date on what is happening with our FanStory friends. Your poem is clever and cute and sure to make Karenina laugh. I am so sorry to hear she has broken her foot and pray she will not have too much pain but can enjoy a little rest. Thank you for keeping us posted. Many prayers will ascend for our much loved friend. MM

You certainly do like to write about all your friends on Fanstory. Every time I see a poem about someone here, it was penned by you. All grist for the mill

Hey Judith, I have missed you. I cannot wait until I can start reviewing again but my eyes can only withstand about as much me writing and answering reviews. I am having surgery on both, in the next two months, after I heal a little more. You and one more I have been thinking of and keep telling myself to just pm you if nothing else. How are you and anything new with you.
Thank you for your lovely review. I really appreciate it.
One more thing, can I have your birthdate? Helen is kinda slowing down and kinda busy and I will help her out as much as I can, yet would love to write you a birthday poem..... talk soon my dear friend!

A kind, humorous poem to cheer up a suffering friend. I'm sure everyone
sends her best wishes for a speedy recovery! It sounds horrendous. Falling down stairs is a frightening experience!

Poor Karenina. Certainly, I will pray for her speedy recovery, in Jesus' name.

I am, however, a bit confused: You said she didn't break that bone, but a few lines previously you said she broke her foot. Was that a slight mistake or were you speaking of a particular bone that was not broken?

Hi Amahra, sorry for the confusion. Right after I say that I need to make her laugh, I say, speaking of humerus, glad she didn't break that bone. If you notice how humerus is spelled, it's talking about the humerus bone. Maybe I should make a little better reference to that. I will go see what I can do right now. Thank you for letting me know, but yeah is supposed to have a double meaning; humerus the bone, yet humorous to be funny, Thanks for your prayers for her my friend!
reply by amahra on 14-Jan-2023
Oh, no. Please don't change it unless others missed it also. Now I see the humor. Beautiful!!!
reply by the author on 14-Jan-2023
I did change it and I do like it much better now, so I thank you for bringing it up to me. If you have a minute I'd l like your opinion on its easier to catch. Many aren't as gracious as you and won't say anything and it's hard to improve unless someone points them out. I truly appreciate you!
reply by amahra on 14-Jan-2023
"Speaking of humerus; could've also broke [broken] that bone" Yes, that's very nice. How sweet of you to consider my review. Bless you.
reply by the author on 14-Jan-2023
Oh my goodness. LOL I know better than that. Haha . Thanks for catching that! Hugs!

What a lovely and fun poem for Karenina. So sorry to learn about her fall, and I do hope she's resting and healing. You have used some clever rhymes in your poem. The picture says it all! Have a blessed weekend. Carol

Absolutely. This reminds me of the time I broke my foot and shattered my ankle running for a bus. I caught it and after a few blocks of pain, realized that it was the wrong bus. I finally caught the correct bus and had to stand for 20 plus miles, hobbled into the Hospital Emergency room and after X-ray, received the sad news, "Yep it's broken."

Hi Nomi, wow, I cant't believe you were able to get another bus. Once I broke my foot and shattered my ankle. There was no way I was able to get up, so while I was sitting on the floor, I tried to lift up my leg to see what was hurt. And my foot fell down like a rag pop. So I had to scoot on my but to try to get to a phone. But couldn't get to one, so I laid on the floor til Glen came home. They had to build a new ankle and be in a care center for three months. I went through 7 casts before I was done,
I I thank you for your kind review and comments for my poem, Karenina.
I sure appreciate it my friend & caring brother,

They gave me a walking boot and mistakenly told me to come back in a week. What they really meant was come back in a month. They took the cast off and realized it was way too soon. They had to recast and add a week to the recuperation time. My sad story.
reply by the author on 18-Jan-2023
Yeah, yours must have been different than mine, as I was non weight bearing for over three months. They couldn't even do the surgery for two weeks that I lay in the hospital because it was too swollen. But they couldn't believe mine was from sliding into a door, cause ot looked like I fell off of a two story building. Still after three years I can't get a good shoe on it cuz the artificial ankle sticks out so bad and hurts still. So tell me dear brother, does being a klutz run in our family? Hahahahaha!!
reply by nomi338 on 18-Jan-2023
No I must brag just a little. I have always been particularly tough. My ability to bear pain is nearly legendary. In 79 years of life I have spent one night in the hospital and that was just for observation. I never had a really serious illness in my life. that is until I reached my 70s. You can just call me superman.

Lol, we really are brother and sister, cause my drs always tell me that I am like the bionic woman, but mostly from all the hardware throughout my body. I am proud to say too, that I have a high tolerance to pain, but that is because my lupus has taken so much out of me for the last 40 years. I no longer take anything for pain and will continue until it can no longer be handled. I am not complaining. As bad as things are right now, my blessings are abundant. The day that I came here and found you, will always be one of such humongous blessings for me. Please never forget that my Nomi.

Poor friend. Still, enforced rest will do her the world of good. She seems to be going through a tough time - time to stop, listen and pray for others. Sending thoughts of healing and love - soon to be back on her feet. K xx

Debi, You are the best! This is so entertaining (and I don't mean Karenina's fall).

Karenina, please get well. I hope you're on the mend.

Perhaps purchase a new home-- without stairs or better yet, stay in your home and get rid of the shop vac! We love you! Hugs and a kiss on the foot. Best, JohnC
