This wonderful, deeply reverent poem skillfully and descriptive poses questions about why people of faith grieve and hurt. Of course, we're human, and humanity is weak. BUT then comes the peace and comfort only He can give. Excellent metaphors

Absolutely beautiful, Roy :)
This was so enjoyable to read. It reminds me of myself. When I thought my past sins would surely define me as a traitor in God's eyes, He showed me how much I was loved and forgiven. That moment, my faith came alive. It changed me forever, giving me hope.
Thank you for sharing this. It truly brought tears to my eyes.
Always your fan,
Shana :)

Beautiful poem, very well written. I often wonder why we go through dark days in our faith sometimes, but I know it's a time that in the end we are strengthened. I think we go through our own trials to appreciate what Jesus did for us. Happy Easter!

You have beautifully written the story of many lives that were crushed by despair and now know the exultation of the awareness of God's presence and loving guidance. As long as we are living in a fallen world, darkness will gather--but, our hearts fully know we will not be forsaken by our Holy Creator. Continued blessings to you and yours, Roy!

Very well stated my brother. For the true believer, what joy can compare with the realization that we are loved by the most powerful being in the world. That no one, no thing can compare with or defeat him. Also, what of the even greater joy that comes when one we have endeavored to teach, comes to the same realization and accepts the master into their very own hearts and minds. If that one is our child, then our heart overflows with joy.

Hope is one of those fickle things we all believe in when all other avenues have been explored, hope is the last thing we cling to in a time of crisis when we hope for change, you keep your faith close to you Roy and hope it has all the answers, much enjoyed, a well rhymed poem, love Dolly x

this for me really drew from the title, it painted a picture so beautifully around your pen, becoming the starlight when Grace gave birth in this excellent piece

Yes indeed, Christians certainly do feel the absence of God's presence from time to time (which IS sin) but as your lovely poem tells us, it does not last. Thank you for sharing!

Roy,
I thought of the Psalms before I read the notes. Yes, at times we all feel doubt in our faith when we grieve. But faith brings us strength to go on.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Beautifully penned poem for today. I have had a time of weeping. I have cried so much the last month. I have a close relationship who's addictions will take over if not repented of and it is hard to watch. My country too, as wickedness is on parade here. I understand how Lot and Noah felt before the destruction. I'm glad to be living in the days of grace, but it is obvious we are nearing the return of Christ.
Sending you my best today as always,
