The story is getting interesting. I was thinking about times when a young boy when my mother would say the same words to me for acting up in church. "You wait until I get you home."
Kept me praying she would forget. LOL.

My mum was always trying to stop playing like a tom-boy, but I loved to do what the boys did. I grew up with three uncles who were only 2-4 and 6 years older than me, so I had to keep up. But doing that, I often torn my dresses climbing trees. Mum wasn't impressed!! Lol
Thank you so much for this lovely review, Chuck and the golden star. I really appreciated them both. Love and hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

-An excellent chapter, Sandra.
-Bessie and Margot make very good detectives.
-Of course, being invisible helps out a lot!
-You set the scene up well as they go in the door
having the maids wonder what had gone on.
-Margot learns a little more about the situation with Richard
and why it is so important to have Miles and Meg out of the way.
-You described the scene with Richard and his wife very well.
-They keep up pretenses and when he leaves, we see the true feelings of his wife, and her actions to rid herself of his kiss and the kerchief.
-Bessie throws another wrinkle in when she says they might have to watch Gwendolyn. The plot thickens, as they say.
-It will be interesting to see what they observe about Gwendolyn and what turns up at Miles' father's house.
-Very well done and keeps the suspense going, my friend.

Thank you so much, Pam, for another lovely review. I'm so pleased you like the way the story is going. Gwendolyn was a bit of a surprise, especially to Bessie who found she wasn't at all like she'd described her to Margot. She is far from happy.
Now Bessie and Margot have another suspect, but would Gwenolyn want Meg murdered? I would think she would prefer it if it was Richard. Lol. Thanks, my friend, for the golden star to go with your fabulous review. Love and hugs, :)) Sandra xxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. You are becoming quite the mystery writer! I don't know how you keep it all straight. I never asked, but do you use an outline or just write a draft and go over it.

Hmmmm. It seems there's more to Gwendolyn than might be suspected by her husband. Richard is a thoroughly despicable man that I don't like already. Seems there will be a grand dust-up at the party. Can't wait to see it.

Gwendolyn is such a mousey lady, she's going to surprise her husband! I like it when a plan comes together!! Lol. Thanks so much dearest SATP, for this lovely review and the sixth star! I'm glad you like this part. Love and hugs, :)) Sandra xxx

Sandra,
Wow. You are neck-deep in intrigue, eh? Glad you're able to keep all these Lords and Duchesses apart. I used to read these romance novels all the time and still had no hide nor hair of which were the highest and who mattered where. ha
Great writing, of course. Loved the fluid language styles that spoke to the different characters.
One note:
--> We's don't want them thinking there's ghosts about.(')
Thank you!

The Duke is usually related to royalty, like the Queen's husband Prince Philip was the Duke of Edingbough. And Prince Charles and Camilla are called the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, and when he is king, Camilla will be his Queen Consort. There are a few titles, Earls, Lords, and more, but the Duke is the highest next to the King and Queen. That is why Richard will not like his sister to be married to Miles. At the moment he doesn't even know her whereabouts. It has been kept a secret from everyone.
Thank you sooooo much for picking up that misson speach tag! I would never have spotted it. Thanks so much for the wonderful review, my friend. Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

Very interesting. So Gwendolyn is now in the picture. I would think Gwendolyn would want to keep Meg around so Meg would do better than Richard. It would serve him right. I can't wait for more. Good job.

You're right, Barbara, but Gwendolyn isn't out to get Meg. But I'm not saying anything more!! Sorry, lol. Thank you so much for your lovely review and the golden star, I do appreciate both so much. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hi, Sandra, I simply love this story. It's so well written and the plot is just great. The adventure of Margot and Bessie is also very well thought out.
Now, I certainly don't like Richard, but neither does his wife. I can't wait to meet Mile's father. A big hug. Ulla xxx

Thank you so much, Ulla, that is such a lovely compliment coming from another author. I'm glad you don't like Richard, he's not a nice person, and we'll see how Gwendolyn gets on as the story unfolds. Thanks so much for the golden star, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Sensational! What else would I say. I was brought up hearing the term 'mark my words' I can still hear my mom saying it as well. Okay, I always say this, but it's getting more and more revealing. I can't wait for them to go to Mile's father's house. Gotta be something juicy goin on there. Move over Dan Brown we're going to Daddy's house tomorrow! Lol. Loved it, my friend.

Bless you, John, you are such an encouraging reviewer, and I really appreciate your wonderful words. I have a whole stack of Dan Brown's books, he's amazing. There are a few surprises ahead, but not just yet. Thanks, my friend. I love your reviews. :)) Sandra xxx

This is so interesting to have them going through things in the past and being invisible. Apparently they are able to pass through walls and they have to open door. The phrase "Mark my word" is something I always heard a lot . I thought it meant "I'm sure I'm right about this. Wait and see" I'll be looking forward to the next chapter.

I think that is what it actually means, in this sense it means what had been promised in the previous sentence. ...'I'll give them what for!... meaning (in my day) a good hiding! A smack on the legs, mainly, lol. And ...mark my words ... meant, 'you wait and see!' We had many funny expressions, didn't we? Many are being lost today.
Thanks so much, Beth, for the lovely review. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

Aw, thank you so much, Shirley, what a lovely review. I'm glad you are sympathetic towards Gwendolyn, I think you'll enjoy her character. Thank you so very much for the sixth star, you've made my day. (I'm hours ahead of you, lol.) Love and hugs, my friend. :)) SAndra xxx

Now that wouldn't be half bad to walk amongst people without them knowing you were there.... the truth would definitely come out I think. And poor Gwendolyn...treated so poorly, but then I believe there just might be more to the fair lady than the surface indicates. Can't wait to read about what they find at the father's house. You have quite a mystery beginning to unravel.
Smiles, hugs and lots of love, Carol

Thank you, dear Carol, for another lovely review. I'm glad you liked this part. Yes, dear Gwendolyn is simmering in the background, just waiting for her chance to get back at Richard. I know what I'd do to him!! Thanks my friend. I hope you're doing a little bit better? I worry about you. Love and hugs. Sandra xx
