I like this free verse about a car. Your words travel down the page to an unexpected, amusing end. Many free verses are angst, emotion and matters of the heart. This is different and refreshing! 'Bark, betwixt and between'...love the alliteration and longer sentences that resemble running thoughts!

This is a great entry for the free verse contest. I remember my husband used to do all the work on his cars, but now everything is so computerized that no one knows how to do regular maintenance any more.

Good question about many things as we get older. We wonder, 'who can do this when I'm gone?' The answer is someone will be able to that knows how to use google.

What a question of what remains when you're gone. Who will be there when you die or move on from a place. I think we all ponder our own mortality, but this poem took me back to that place and had me thinking for several moments. Great job

Beautiful car. I have built many hotrods over the years. Nobody knows what 18436572 means anymore. haha. Set the dwell through the distributer cap on Chevies - cause they made it easy. Thanks for the memories.
