Jehovah God has enduring patience. He understands that as we are merely dust, we lack the discernment that those born of spirit possess. He is not only patient his forgiveness is profound. Consider the insolent man Saul of Tarsus. He participated in the murder of many of Christs' followers and yet when he woke up to learn the truth of Jesus' words, he became one of the foremost among the apostles and was instrumental in saving many. His recorded accounts in the scriptures help many down to this day, find the salvation that saves their lives. Your poem is exquisitely beautiful. I wish I had six stars to award, unfortunately I do not.

I agree with the notes about loving your parents as an example toward God. Your poem sings the song, something I think we have all experienced. So glad God loves us, thickly-skulled people. Good one, Bro.

Roy, this is a very thoughtful poem. There are many things we don't understand about life and our world, but we do know that God created us to love and serve Him. We can fully trust His plan for our lives. Your closing lines are great:

This is a splendid poem with excellent rhyme and meter and great imagery. The art work is also well chosen. I don't know where some of you get such great pictures and artwork. I seem to have a hard time finding appropriate visuals. Great poem, I enjoyed it.

Wish I had six or eight stars!! I so understand this as my children have thrown me to the wayside! Now, thanks to this poem, I thoroughly understand how my Savior feels when He is not loved! A very contemplative and thoughtful poem, with many layers I think. Our souls were meant for wisdom's call and to be uplifted to a higher plain. There is always a tension between our spiritual aspirations and our roles and duties on this earth.

I think children go through a period in their life when they hate their parents as they feel frustrated at restrictions put upon them, but in the end a good nurturing upbringing will never be forgotten and will be remembered fondly. Some go through a traumatic time as a child and not all parents are adept and some scar their children for life. In the end we have to see the good things in our past and be forgiving. We are all haunted by ghosts at time and we learn to live with them, a poignant write Roy, love Dolly x
