Roy, thanks for sharing this unique poetry form! It is full of a pleasing cadence and vivid imagery. The words recall to mind my own instances of faith crises and despair as we travel life's road, but I love the hope and love you express near the end. I, too, have felt God's Love and reassurance that our earthly experiences are not in vain.

Fine work in this intriguing form. As to your note about the conversion experience--did you write prose about the event, perhaps posted before my time?

Roy, this is another fine example of how you take a literary contrivance and produce a masterpiece. "There you go again." Thank you for the author notes that explains what I have just witnessed. Like many of our fellow FanStorians, I don't remember enough of my college English to critique your poem. I can, however, say it is Exceptional.

This is a cool new form, dear Roy. I especially love the subject and our need for God and Christ. There is something deep within that only He can fill.
Sending along my very best and blessings for your day, Sally:))

Great as usual. I don't have any sixes left. Sorry.
There is a God
On Earth's dark sod,
And I've found faith on paths I've trod.
As He gave me a knowing nod,
I then found God on Earth's dark sod.

Hi Roy,
This is beautiful! I've always loved that passage in John 14:2, the promise. Your poem describes our thirst for God and our searching for Him...
" Is there a God
on Earth's dark sod?
And is there faith on paths I've trod.
Is my reward sin's cruel rod?
I must find God on Earth's dark sod.
I found a ray
on one fine day,
as I drove home along the way,
I felt such love, I said, "please stay."
God shone a ray on one fine day."
The Monomeld looks quite difficult! Perhaps I'll try my hand...
Lovely in the Owen style :))
Always,
Senyai

I agree. I don't think we can ever be whole unless we are right with God. God completes us. Of course, we can exist but peace will never be complete with God. Thank you for sharing.

Your poem is excellent in every respect: the style/form (I like this one.),
the word and phrase choices, and the flow--how the poem builds from a description of that hole in every soul to God, since only He can fill that hole.

Wow! I am both impressed and moved. I like your new format and the fact that you invented it to start with. You have such initiative, creativity, and desire to spread God's word.
The story that weaves through your words is what is moving. We all have that hole, and we need God's love to fill it.
Well done.
