OMG this was hilarious and sounds a bit like.....well...real life? I laughed out loud reading this, so so clever! I found a typo in the second stanza, a phrase is repeated twice...but not really noticeable. Great piece!

interesting,,, check out Cyborg artist Neil Harbisson on Wiki or Youtube. )In 2009, Harbisson published the Human Colour Wheel based on the hue and light detected on hundreds of human skins from 2004 to 2009. The aim of the study was to state that humans are not black or white, but are different shades of orange - from very dark orange to very light orange.(

Hi dear Eric, I loved the metaphor and all the imagery in the poem. It reminded me of the former Soviet Union, and could also serve as prophecy for a country I know of in Africa where leadership terror and nepotism is holding sway. Well done!

I thought this was a wonderful poem that has a great moral for kids and grown-ups alike. I don't know if you really have illustrated it all the way through, but if you haven't, you should and turn it into a kid's book. Well done, I really enjoyed it, the rhyme and the wording was wonderful, and funny. (And educational) Sandra xx

The Orange is a nice whimsical poem that uses fruit as a metaphor for life and societal roles. It is easy to see that there are divergent opinions even in the orchard. Thanks for encouraging something we can all agree on. Unity, freedom and inclusion, a lessonbest learned by every Tom, Dick, Don, Joe, and Harry. Thanks. Embrace the Love from Above.

What a fun story in a poem about an orange Don and a human names Puti. I loved the fun, humor, whimsy and the great imagination that went into this.
A fitting artwork to accompany.
That put a smile on my face, thank you for sharing.
