I didn't grow up on rock n roll, though I did manage to hear some of them now and again. Though not really related, there is a successful thoroughbred stallion named Star Guitar. I'm wondering if that is how he got his name. Anyway, great choice for #50. I am along for the countdown. Look forward to the next.

Yes, Roy did a great job. I remember the days very well. Pretty Woman and many others. I had a bad Mercury and the girl of my dreams. We kept the dragster busy. It is a wonder I am still alove.

For two years in HS I worked for a local radio station and did the DJ work for live dances. I was allowed to keep the records in my personal collection. I was paid for the dances but not for the "on air" work. I was considered an apprentice. I had hundreds of 45s. I got "fired" for playing popular music on the air. HAHAHAHA

You're as close to a real rockstar as I know. These garage bands are in the best in my eyes. But I see you went for another life in a military career and marriage, and family. Thank you for your wonderful words but I'm just a guy who couldn't decide what he wanted to do when he grew up, so I didn't bother. My 75th birthday is this year and my wife is hoping I will at least act like I'm 12.
You never know. HAHAHAHAHAHA
The Lord has been very good to me in my life.

I always enjoy listening to Roy Orbison and especially like the song, 'Pretty Woman'. I read that the song-writer's ending line was:
I guess tomorrow night we'll see
there are more fish in the sea.
Roy liked the upbeat idea of the woman turning around, as do we all.
