Ooh Sandra, this is a good chapter. Things are warming up between Tania and Grant. I liked the casual action, not expecting it of Grant - ''You're very welcome.' He went over and pulled the chair up to the bed again, and sat, resting his elbow on her bedside cabinet.' We see where this is going LOL! Poor Tania - can you imagine going through what she has, yet coming through still smiling? I like your choice of freesias, not the usual roses - a classy move. Their perfume is fantastic. I enjoyed this chapter immensely - well done girl. Well written - no spags that I could see. Looking forward to more. Love Dorothy xxx

Aw, bless you, Dorothy, I'm so pleased you enjoyed this part. Freesias are my favourite flowers, so I had to choose those. But, I had to change it slightly, two people picked me up on the fact that flowers aren't allowed in hospitals now. I forgot that. Now I have the nurse taking them away, and Grant promising to bring Tania more when she goes home. Tania is pleased her face is bruised so that he can't see her blushes! :)) Thanks again, my friend. Lots of love, Sandra xx

Hi Sandra - my pleasure. I had no idea flowers are nott allowed in hospitals now. Wonder why? - Dxx

It's to do with the bacteria they hold. They stopped allowing them back in 1996. You can still take grapes and chocolates! :))

Awe, Sandra, this is as always a lovely chapter. Tricia is recuperating but is still having nightmares. I don't blame her. It will take a long time to get over something like that. It's hard to imagine how it would be to overcome what's she's been through. And, now, Grants defences are slowly being eroded. A feel romance could be on the cards one day.
I only found one thing: Although it would take more than that for Grant forgive himself. = insert a 'to' before 'forgive'
Looking forward to what's next. Big hug. Ulla xxxx

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Ulla, and for all those lovely stars. It's taken some time, but I'll get these two sorted out! Lol. Thanks for picking up the missing, 'to'. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Love has a way of finding you when it is time. Grant has found his,sSo has Tania. I do believe that. This is a great story and I like this chapter because the worst part is over. She is recuperating and is being released from the Hospital. Well done., Sandra. Nancy:)

Thank you so much, Nancy. I'm so pleased you and everyone else is happy how the story is going. Now to sort these two out, they must dump their bad baggage. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Things seem to be working out better now for all involved, Sandra. You are moving along nicely with your novel. I'm glad Tania has recovered as well as she has so far. I believe Grant will have more issues of trust along the way, but Tania will be there to help him. The flowers sounded awesome. Here the hospitals will not allow fresh flowers--probably because of the potential of germs etc. I took some to my sister and they wouldn't let them stay. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you so much for another lovely review, Jan. I'm so very pleased you are still enjoying my novel. I had to change the flower part, because as you, and another reviewer mentioned, they aren't allowed in hospitals any more. I've had the nurse come and take them away now. Grant has told Tania she will get more when she goes home, which makes her blush. (I've got to sort this couple out, it's about time they realised they are the perfect match!!) Thanks, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

This was once again an amazing continuation chapter, Sandra. It was great that Tania was healing and was able to leave the hospital after a few weeks, even though she did have to rely on Monica for a while. It was equally great that she (Tania) and Grant were getting along. And it was fantastic that Grant was learning to forgive himself and the two women who had betrayed him. I do so look forward to what happens next. Blessings, smiles and hugs.

You are so welcome Sandra, I am enjoying your book 'Betrayal'. I probably won't start anything until after we get to North Dakota on March 28th, then I will have time, I have some thoughts. Do take care, blessings, smiles and hugs, Alie.

Once again, I love the story and I can't wait to see how Grant allows himself to trust a woman again. He's healing. Will Tania also completely heal?

'Are you comfortable enough? She smiled at Tania's assurance. (Missing ending quotation mark after enough)

Thank you so very much, Barbara, for another lovely review and the six star award. Grant and Tania both have some baggage, and together perhaps they will sort it out. But more to come before we get to that. Thank you my friend, I always appreciate your reviews. :)) Sandra xxx

My compliments. You did an excellent job on this, Sandy. Especially the feeling of both characters. You did what many fail to do and that is place the reader inside the hospital room seeing everything unfold. There were a few words I was not acquainted with but they are used in your British wording I suppose. Nothing that would cause any damage to the read.
I absolutely have enjoyed the story and the way you have presented it.
Many could learn much from you. I have.

What an amazing review, Chuck, thank you so very much. Your compliments have stretched my head!! Lol. We do have a few words that have a different meaning to yours, and vice versa, but I'm glad they didn't throw you off balance. Thank you, my dear friend, for the six stars, they were the cherry on top off this lovely review. Sending you lots of love, and warm hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

I'm so glad Tanya is healed enough to go home. I just hope this romance between her and Grant continues. They seem so right for each other, and Grant has come a long way. Your chapter is well-written, very interesting, realistic. Your characters seem believable, really come to life. Like always, I look forward to reading more.

Sandra:

I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to feel sorriest for Grant or for Tania
because they are both going to have some serious trust issues for a long
time to come. When mothers do not nurture their sons - or daughters,
for that matter - it creates a lifetime of hurt. Looking forward to the next
chapter.

At least Grant was brought up by his loving grandfather, so he was well loved. But, he has been really hurt by her rejection, and he'll have to try to come to terms with that. Tania has been really hurt, both physically and mentally by Grant's half-brother. Together they could deal with it, or make things worse. We will have to see what happens. Thank you so much for your thoughtful review, my friend. I really appreciated it. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

The fact that Grant feels he can trust Tania, is a big one-eighty turnabout for him and bodes well for a future relationship (perhaps with Tania?). All the angst has been put aside and the future is looking brighter for both of them. This is a good chapter. It clears the air of a lot of snags.

Thank you, Ralf. Yes, both Grant and Tania have sadness and hurt in their lives and they will be good together. We shall see if that happens. I'm so pleased you thought this chapter cleared up some issues. Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
